• Want to buy a gaming laptop

So I've put away about 1500 USD and intend to buy a gaming laptop. (I live on the West Coast of the US) I'm curious as to what you folks would buy? I'm not saying that $1500 is the price I want to pay, but it's available if there's a particularly spectacular product at that range. Preferably I'd want something a bit less expensive if the difference is marginal. I care a lot about overheating issues, as they've terrified me for years on my current computer. I have some very demanding games that I'd like to play without my lap getting covered in melting plastic.
I already posted this in a bunch of other threads, but here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834214050&cm_re=qosmio_460m-_-34-214-050-_-Product I would recommend either this or the MSI laptop that has a 5870

That's actually pretty good. A laptop with a strong(er) graphics card and a lower than most resolution will last longer. Obviously.
Msi gx740
I have a Sager laptop, and it's quite nice, so I'd recommend looking into some of those. They are a bit more expensive than other gaming laptop's that I've seen, though.
Asus G73Jh. 5870M + i7-740/720QM + 8GB RAM + Awesome cooling + FHD = Absolute must. Otherwise, the GX740 with the i7 processor. http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gx740079us-p-2765.html?wconfigure=yes
how big? i mean, we could go anywhere from netbook size to more of a desktop than a laptop.
