So, I just built this system a week ago. To start it off here are the specs: For the past 3 days, Team Fortress 2 has either been crashing when trying to connect to a server, crashing after about 20-30 minutes of game play, and also causing my screen to go a brownish color with vertical lines, if I recall correctly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled tf2 3 times, defragged the game cache, verified the cache, and still, it crashes. Three times, the screen went the brownish color, only to have tf2 minimize and Windows to notify that the drivers stopped responding, but were recovered. I thought it had something to do with the custom skins I had, so I delete those, and kept only the ones that seems like they wouldn't make the game crash. (I did this by applying each skin at a time, and seeing if I could connect to a server.) It took a while, but I go all the skins I like (about 7 or 8) and left it at that. (I had almost the whole game skinned before.) Now, I was playing, and the screen went brownish, but tf2 came back and didn't crash. I got tired of this, so I went and googled about the problem. Newegg reviews said that if the card overheats, then it will cause the whole system to hang, and would require a hard reset if order to fix. I had to hard reset my computer a few times before. Another review said that the 9.10 drivers were causing the hangs, and that the 9.11 drivers fixed this issue. I checked which drivers I had and made sure I had the the latest (9.11) drivers + Catalyst installed. I adjusted the fan from 50% to about 55%, because anything after that caused too much noise. It's resting at 36 degrees C right now. Now, I'm wondering whether anyone else has had this same or similar issue, and could offer a fix? Also, I have an Antec 300 Illusion case, and ordered Win7 Home Premium 64 bit and another fan for the side panel off of Newegg, seeing as how it wouldn't hurt to have additional cooling, and this copy of Win7 doesn't have a product key. I plan to reformat, as maybe that'll help with this issue.. I forgot to mention, Counter Strike: Source doesn't crash like tf2, but whenever I start it up, the screen goes blank, then comes back with pink all over the place. That goes away when I turn off my monitor, and turn it back on. This happened when I first boot up my system and was in the process of reinstalling all my games. I closed the game, and there was a windows open for Windows Firewall to allow CS:S. After that, the game would load normally, without any pink. But as of two days ago, that was started again. Might just be the monitor, but if anyone knows anything about this too, I would appreciate the help.
RMA the GPU

No, you're a shitty poster and should stop posting in this section. [editline]03:46AM[/editline] and you're a 4chan faggot
Well, after about an hour and a half of playing, I think raising the fan speed did it. The new fan I order will help even more. I'm still open to suggestions though.

Will do if it happens again once the fan is installed and I reformat.
