In an 18-2 vote behind closed doors, the House Intelligence Committee passed the controversial Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) cybersecurity bill. While the bill's final text is still unknown, The Hill reports that a number of amendments supported by the bill's sponsors were approved during markup, including one change that would require the government to remove personal information from "cyber threat" data they receive from private companies. The Hill also reports that the committee removed a provision from CISPA that would allow the government to use data from private companies for broad "national security purposes."
And let's ensure that it gets smacked down again, just like last time.
Odd name for a committee that saw no problems with CISPA.
They need to mark these nefarious bills better. Try the protection of children act or something.
Try to fool people, stuff like that works.

Shh, don't give them ideas.
Ah who am I kidding, they don't listen to the people or they wouldn't be trying to pass this shit again.

I could've sworn they tried this once before. Oh, no, it was when Lamar Smith tried to justify SOPA by using the old "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" excuse. Close enough, I guess.
But yeah, lawmakers know nothing and don't care about the people they represent yadda yadda yadda now let's stop this thing.

Kinda like The Patriot Act?

It keeps patriotism alive. Do you hate America and its freedoms? Now click twice so I know you're not a terrorist.
Call me out here if I'm being an idiot but I don't understand how a bill which affects national law is allowed to be 'unknown'. The wording of the bill is obviously important, why is it hidden - or will it become public once it hits the house floor?
Trying not to sound like a conspiracy nutjob here but I'm still curious :v:
