In the news this week...
"THE website Ask.fm, on which Hannah Smith, 14, received hate messages before she was found hanged, has provoked further controversy by claiming she posted many of the comments herself.
Ask.fm executives are understood to have said privately that the company has analysed the profiles of the senders of the bullying messages and concluded that Hannah had set up most of the anonymous identities herself and sent the vast majority of the messages.
“With the Hannah case, the company have looked at every identity — the IP addresses are trackable. She posted the anonymous things herself. The police has all that data,” a source claimed.
In private briefings last week, the company said “98%” of the messages had come from the same IP address as Hannah’s, with about four posts that had not"
I'm so fucking confused.
Someone is going to be feeling very silly after this.
She wanted to have a proper excuse before she killed herself, maybe? Or she wrote those things to herself because that's how she really felt about herself.
Maybe she was schizophrenic.
It would be terrible if it turned out that it was her parents that were posting those messages.
I can't really imagine why one would post those kind's of messages to themselves, except maybe to drum up some support?
Maybe she was depressed and voicing her thoughts about herself anonymously or something.
It's about the only way I can think that this makes any sense.
What the fuck. It's like someone saying "oh I feel fat" but to a greater level and on a public platform. This is like some kind of crazy masochism.
Maybe she was schizophrenic.
This is probably the most likely case.
Why?
I'm really confused. Did she do this because she wanted to make it look like she had a reason for killing her self or is someone fucking up some information here?
This is going to end with a bunch of people feeling dumb if this is true.
I'm betting my money on that she either was getting bullied and thought noone gave a shit/believed her or she wasn't getting bullied, was depressed and wanted people to feel sorry for her in death.
This is probably the most likely case.
Schizophrenia is pretty rare in young teens.
Anyway, is this the modern version of the call coming from inside the house?
Maybe her parents did this?
So one person might of triggered this and it turned into her mentally imploding?
Maybe she killed herself to make a point about cyber bullying...
Maybe she killed herself to make a point about cyber bullying...
At 14? You'd have to be one hell of a martyr
Don't worry guys cameron is shutting down the internet so we cant do this to ourselves.
Its for our own good!!!!!!!!1
She was either skitzo or a dumbfuck.
Schizophrenia? Who is normal in this cruel world anyways?
It's called fishing for attention/compliments, and it's nothing new.
It's called fishing for attention/compliments, and it's nothing new.
But can they honestly say then, that this 'attention seeking' caused her to kill herself?
Maybe her parents did this?
If this was true, that is truly despicable, and the media should tear them apart for doing that.
But can they honestly say then, that this 'attention seeking' caused her to kill herself?
It wouldn't be the first time someone did something horrible for attention.
Edit: Also, a lot of "cyberbullying"/death threats aren't real in the first place.
maybe the parents had such a huge dislike for ask.fm that they plotted to drive their own daughter to suicide by using that site.
cry for help
both due to her mental state (probably convinced herself at this point that the stuff was actually true) and a way to get somebody's attention and a last effort (most people end up doing something like this as a last-ditch attempt to get someone to help them)
maybe the parents had such a huge dislike for ask.fm that they plotted to drive their own daughter to suicide by using that site.
I'd like you to stop for a second and think about what you just said.
maybe the parents had such a huge dislike for ask.fm that they plotted to drive their own daughter to suicide by using that site.
You don't actually think that's the case right?
If this was true, that is truly despicable, and the media should tear them apart for doing that.
How could they prove that though. The only way would be to hook them up to a lie detector but they have to agree to do that.
[editline]10th August 2013[/editline]
and you know they aren't going to admit it
snip
The parents and the media already looked fucking retarded, and now the parents are going to be kicking themselves after they inflated this into a media circus and tried to get a site they didn't understand shut down for no reason.
Again, the media is what is wrong with this country, not the shit they report on.
