Open Office can be modified to suit your needs, if you feel so inclined... But if you already have M$ Office, might as well use it.

What on earth do you mean beside the windows kernel? I don't see any possible way for a computer to be running more than one kernel of any sort: you can only have one bit of code handling interrupts, after all.
