• Any way to configure multiple monitors with 8800GT?

I don't know if this is possible, but I have 2 monitors plugged into my 8800GT and I can configure them to work in clone or span. That is completely useless for me though, because span looks like crap and why would I want to show the same thing on two monitors? I want to get the desktop configuration where I can have my desktop on my primary and drag programs onto the secondary, but I can't seem to find anything on how to do it like this. I'd really appreciate any help.
What OS?
Windows xp home
It should be a setting in properties... It's extend my desktop onto this monitor. Then you have a second working area. I couldn't live without dual monitors. ;D
Unfortunately I don't have anything like that. Instead of a "Monitor 1" and "Monitor 2" icon, I have a picture of a CRT sitting there (I don't have a CRT by the way, 2 LCDS).
I've an 8800GT and two monitors and it works perfectly for me. Have you installed the drivers?
IIRC nvidia drivers come with a built in utility to configure multiple monitors.
That was the strangest thing. I'd tried restarting multiple times, but for some reason when I turned my computer on this morning the option has appeared now. Sorry about that.
