COWETA COUNTY, Ga. -
A substitute teacher in Coweta County is accused of taking pictures of students and posting them on a "Creeper" website.
Authorities are investigating after students at East Coweta High said their pictures ended up on the Reddit "Creepshot" web page. Some of the pictures are relatively innocent, but the captions and context are disturbing some parents.
The page contains thousands of pictures of unsuspecting women taken everywhere from Target to the beach. The women have no idea they are on the site.
School officials say they called in the Coweta County Sheriff's Office to investigate the substitute teacher. They say he hasn't been allowed in a classroom since the allegations.
"As a dad, I don't want to say too much of what I would like to do, but you know, you have to let the authorities, hopefully have confidence in them that they will do the right thing," said parent Steve Bedrosian.
School officials say substitute teachers go through background checks just like regular teachers and there were no red flags in this case.
The teacher is no longer employed by the school system.
Creep shots should be illegal really.
Good, hopefully /r/CreepShots will follow the same fate as /r/jailbait and /r/preteen_girls. Reddit's administration is fucking sick.
How do they know it's not just some retarded student trying to fuck with the teacher?
It's more than one student.
And they were most likely comparing the background in the images with the classroom.

Only if they get enough media and law pressure. Otherwise they don't do it and use the ~free speech~ excuse.
I hate people who say the subredditslike this one should stay to "protect our freedom of speech".

The funny thing is; Reddit is a privately owned website, they can ban whatever the fuck and whoever they want. There isn't a real "freedom of speech"

Except they generally try to stay outside of what happens on reddit in a sense. While they can ban those topics and cull them, they don't have an obligation to do so.

Yep. When they banned jailbait and preteen_girls they did it, and they made this very clear, just for legal reasons and bad press. Seriously, the people in charge of reddit are just as bad as the people at CreepShots
:O This is the county I live in. Oh my gosh. So many news reports from where I live recently. I've probably had this sub teacher before.
Or
Maybe I'm the perpetrator...
What the fuck Reddit.
I wonder who was the creeper browsing that subreddit that recognized his classroom and classmates. Or maybe it was one of the parents.
It was actually some dude on /r/SRS who noticed it.

Didn't the other thread about Creepshots mention a teacher who bragged about taking Creepshots of his students? This can't be the same guy, right?

Which will result in the same scenario that followed those; the people spreading to other sites off the radar to further continue their agenda.
I honestly don't know why people want sites like these taken offline, you can keep an eye on people far more easily when they gather en masse on a single site than when they splinter onto a thousand different ones. If you're really against it you'll want those sites to remain functioning so people like this teacher can actually be found.
Shutting down these major gathering sites does absolutely nothing to prevent the ideal from continuing, it just makes people more sneaky about how they go about it. And generally speaking when people start going to the darker parts of the web to find these kind of gatherings, they're also going to expose themselves to more pronounced acts of the ideal if only because the site is hidden and thus attracts the more hardcore of people. This problem was showcased most prominently when 12chan shut down; I'd of thought people would learn by now.
Jesus, Reddit is even worse when it comes to circlejerking than Facepunch.
Reddit, where you can post sexual pictures of people you know and get away with it!
