I bought a lenovo z570 for christmas.
It has an NVIDIA 520M, that can be turned off to an intel HD card to save power, 4gb of RAM, an an 2670QM i7, so it's more than capable of playing games, right?
I can play prototype in high settings and it runs very well, but I've tried Left 4 dead 1 and 2, and terraria, all of them freezing constantly.
I've updated all my drivers through windows update and driver genius, so I'm pretty certain that the drivers are up to date. The 520M has been on while attempting to play the games, and I've set my battery settings to high performance, and connected the battery even, yet the problem doesn't go away.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Also, this is kinda unrelated, but I'm not able to turn off my trackpad, which is annoying when im typing and my finger brushes it, making the pointer to spaz out, which makes typing sentences frustrating.

shit sorry, there's a technical support section

huh ok, I think it was a program called "touchpad pal" that freezed the touch pad if you're typing.
Can anyone tell me how I can disable the trackpad without turning it off at the bios? I formated the laptop when I got it, and the keyboard shortcut to shut it off (fn+f6) doesn't work, for some reason.
Check nothing is using loads of cpu or memory in the background when the freezing occurs

Everything in it's right temp.
