• My computer keeps... BEEPING!

and i have no idea why. There are no alarms turned on in the bios or anything, nothing is over-heating, nothing is failing, yet there is a beep coming from my tower. :crying: it's preventing me from downloading/idling all night because it's just loud enough to be heard everywhere! What could be causing this? (It sort of sounds like when you hold down about 5 keys if that makes any sense) --A possible connection; it seems to happen when im running tf2 in -textmode .. Not sure if it's the cause or anything, it could be coincidental----
Could well be a virus. There are a few viruses that make your PC randomly beep.
In newer graphics cards a beep means that the card is not getting enough power, likely caused by a disconnected power cable or blown power supply rail. What do you use for a graphics card? Also, does the beeping stop if you swap out the keyboard? Maybe there is a key somewhere that is stuck down.
My computer used to just shut itself down if my keyboard wasn't properly plugged in and it made horrid beeping sounds.
