And in other news, water is damp.
Ha, I remember the Escapist Developer Showndown where Zynga went up against Valve in the (semi?)finale, and Valve totally obliterated them after posting about it on the Steam news feed. That's when I knew for sure that core gamers are still the ones that matter to the industry. Fuck the whole social gaming fad, let's watch these companies and their shitty products burn to the ground.
I hate Zynga so goddamn much. I look forward to watching them go under. I also really dislike their character design, that bland looking, bug-eyed vacant stares of their swollen-headed characters really disturbed me
Wha? Nooooo!
Does this mean less spam on Facebook?
Zynga CEO Mark Pincus blamed the late launch of The Ville and lackluster performance of Draw Something for its lackluster results. The company had paid over $200 million to acquire the developer behind the former drawing phenomenon.
Congratulations: you bought into a fad, You're all idiots. except the former developers, they're laughing all the way to the bank.
Only good casual developer: Kairosoft
No, really? Who knew!
uh, at the risk of sounding stupid, what the fuck is zynga
Makers of Farm,City,Shit-ville In fact, I don't even think they made them, I think they just outsource it and publish it to Facebook under their own name.
uh, at the risk of sounding stupid, what the fuck is zynga
the people who make all those Facebook games with zero effort put into them.
They also flushed the quality of Draw Something and pretty much every IP they aquired down the toilet :pwn:
It's because the spent too much money for products and then realised they needed to pull in the profits.
Now if only Angry Birds will go under. They're all the same, and the exact same idea has been used better in older flash games. That were free.
Only good casual developer: Kairosoft
I wouldn't say they're the only good one but they do have an addicting formula going on. Frankly though, at this point, Game Dev Story 2 is all I care about.
