i'm trying to restore my other PC, but the dvd drives don't work, and my PC won't boot to desktop for restoration that way.
I've tried safe-mode and running with last settings.
any ideas?
Is your bios configured to boot from CD/DVD?
most OEMs don't include restoration tools with the reinstall disk, you can grab the restore tools [url=http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/]here[/url] and burn it to a disk, then boot from it.
