What is dish washing? Dish washing is the art of cleaning plates, bowls, cups, pots, forks, and spoons. Why should I do it? Because it lets you clean your dishes, you lazy slob. Are there any side effects from it? Your hands get soft and you lower the chance of getting germs. How do I do this? First you need this thing: [tab]The sink[/tab] Then you need some running water, hot water is best, it helps it clean faster. Now you need some dishwashing liquid. Get something like this. Now do this action to a dirty dish: Scrub until all the spots on it are gone. Then set it in the other side of the sink, then when the side is full, put them on a towel to dry. After a few hours of drying, put them up. Congratulations, you did the chore of washing dishes! I am too lazy. What else can I use? You lazy slob, use a dishwasher with dishwater detergent. Facepunchers, I hope this helped.
I hate going to peoples' houses and they throw dishes in the dishwasher but they come out with food still on them and they just ignore it. It's sick.
Agreed, that is gross.
I hate two things when washing dishes: Not hot enough water. Water has to be barely bearably hot to make washing good, like 45C I guess. When others dump so many dishes and stuff into sink, that you can't really manipulate in it, and getting them out would mean spreading dirt all around the place.
Informational, but useless thread.
I never would have thought of this for a thread topic. I also usually use a dish washer.
I hate it when your hot water is too hot, but if you try to make it warm it gets too cold.

Or we could just follow Southern American antics and use plastic dishes so we can just throw them away afterwards.
Or we could just follow Southern American antics and use plastic dishes so we can just throw them away afterwards.
I wash my paper plates. :frog:
I use pink gloves so the slimey water and bits of pasta don't get on my hands :D I also hate when people get the clean side of the sink all dirty and fucked up. [editline]10:41AM[/editline]
Or we could just follow Southern American antics and use plastic dishes so we can just throw them away afterwards.
I did that once but now I can't find them in the supermarket.
I've always used Styrofoam stuff. Cheaper than dish washing fluid.
I had to do this all the way into my mid teen years, then I moved and got a dishwasher. Fuck washing dishes by hand.
I'm too poor for a dishwasher :saddowns:
I have a dishwasher but I still have to wash all the dishes that don't fit into it.
wings asre anot h gruuuuuuua thanks i wondered where my clean dishes went
I have my sister do them :smug:
It annoys me greatly when people wash the dirty things before the glasses because then when the glasses dry they end up smeared and smudged. Glass should be washed in clean hot water with a different sponge :O
My feel like my skin is gonna peel off after im done though.
Friend: "There's still food and shit on the plate no worries lets eat of it anyway om nom" Disgusting.
Worst part about this is when the dirty water spills over the edge of the bowl and goes on your shirt.
I can clean dishes with my hands tied. I actually really like it.
Informational yet rather useless thread. If you don't know how to wash dishes by now you're fucked.
I actually find washing dishes quite relaxing for some reason.
I actually find washing dishes quite relaxing for some reason.
this.
Wow most fp is a bunch of pussies who can't even wash dishes.
I'm too poor for a dishwasher :saddowns:
If you're living on your own, take a serious look at the prices on dishwashers and see what financing options might be available. We managed to knock $20 off our electric bill by putting just about everything in the dishwasher and washing very little by hand.* Even a little roll-around dishwasher would probably pay for itself in less than a year and continue saving you money for many more years. *Previously about half the dishes were washed by hand, mostly pots, pans, and the like. This is for a household of 2.
my dad's dishwasher sucks, after washing cups and such, the insides of them are full of food. my dad somehow doesn't see this and I never let him pour me something into a cup I haven't looked at.
Having a few sips of whiskey and listening to music will speed things up too.
I don't know what you guys do but I always combine washing with my hands with a dishwasher. Get basically the food off of the plate before putting it in the dishwasher. Makes our plates spotless and they still shine after 15 years.
