that was his original intention during the process of the 1.2 patch but he changed his mind after the patch itself was released.

The best time to get back in is obviously after the update hits, because a good amount of the content will be targeted toward the midgame+new world.

Is starbound released yet? I preordered it way back when they were doing that crowdfunding push for fossils on their website, and have been waiting to play until they release the full game.
