The application -- first spotted by TM Watch -- was filed by the company's Cupertino headquarters alongside the Sydney branch of law firm Baker & Mckenzie. The application seeks to use the trademark in relation to retail store services; the maintenance, installation and repair of computer hardware and other devices; educational services, including classes, workshops and seminars, and the design and development of computer hardware and software. So pretty much everything Apple does then. Apple has actually already filed for this trademark in 2011 in both China and the US. The company was granted a preliminary trademark pending a consultation period where people could object to the trademark. Not surprisingly, objections were filed. Apple has a window to respond to those objections in the US by 20 September.
Then I will trademark the word hello
How about 'shutdown'?
-snip, nevermind-
So no more startup companies?
Who's the idiot at apple doing up these stupid patents?
Incoming lawsuit from Apple.
Damnit Apple go away.
Who's the idiot at apple doing up these stupid patents?
steve jobs
Who's the idiot at apple doing up these stupid patents?
I think a bigger question is why do they feel the need to come up with the patents in the first place. It's not like they are a tiny company that is constantly in peril. It's like they need to fill a weekly dick quota in order to fuel their company.
ahahahah only joking he's dead edit oh you fucker
Now Apple's trying to becoming Microsoft in the 90s. Sooner or later their computers will require an "Apple Mouse™ or compatible pointing device".

That thing makes razer products seem like great investments.
Not fucking learning, are you? http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1302693
The only thing worse than trying to troubleshoot someones mac is trying to use that goddam mighty mouse. That thing makes razer products seem like great investments.
My video class has those apple mice. They were great during winter when I wore mittens.
Get the fuck out of here, Apple.
You are using our trademarked word "startup" get your ass in jail 5 years 250,000 dollars fine
Yes, lets trademark a general Technical term. I can't wait 10 years from now to be using the Applenet on my iComputer running Egyptian Cat 20.6.
apple can suck a big fat one.
The only thing worse than trying to troubleshoot someones mac is trying to use that goddam mighty mouse. Horrible mice. Whoever designed them should be fired.
I love my iPhone but I certainly don't care for Apple and all their silly patents/trademarks
Now Apple's trying to becoming Microsoft in the 90s. I never really understood the purpose of Apple's "Magic Mouse". They basically made it a screen-less iTouch. Pinch to zoom and all that shit, or I could use my Logitech and bind 16 keys to do whatever the fuck I want. You cannot play games at all with that mouse, especially first person shooters. I played CS:S with that mouse and when I was trying to shoot, everytime I would click the mouse would freak the fuck out and just spray bullets everywhere. Needless to say I just bought the P90 and ran around hoping to get a hit.

The MS wedge is a muhc better implementation.
How long before Apple patents air.

No, no, Apple, Start up is two words... Really though, this is getting to be silly.
No, no, Apple, Start up is two words... Really though, this is getting to be silly.
No, no. It's you - you don't get it. Their trademark is startup, so start up is a whole different word we are all allowed to use!
