Didn't Sakurai already state there wont be a subspace style but something similar to melee's adventure mode. It would be nice if he kept the co-op though.
"To be clear, the new Super Smash Bros. games do not feature a story mode like The Subspace Emissary."
Nice reporting He's hinting that he's in a Rayman stage by the looks of it
It might be just a Race to The Finish side-mission, you never know
Hoping for an adventure mode ala Melee
subspace emissary blew anyway. melee adventure mode > subspace
subspace emissary blew anyway. melee adventure mode > subspace
An actual campaign in the fashion of Brawl would be really good if it was executed better. For starters, using Brawl-specific enemy designs was not very interesting, if not extremely boring. Where are the goombas, koopas, waddle dees, metroids, enemies and villains from the universes that these characters are from? The stages in Subspace felt really tedious because it was literally designed with nothing but platforming and puzzle-solving in mind, which really doesn't fit Smash Bros' gameplay.
I liked the idea of the Subspace. But was the Great Maze really necessary? Thats what killed it for me. I wouldn't mind a second crack at the idea though
The problem with the Subspace Emissary is that it's more action-focused Kirby level design.
We know that Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS won't include a Story Mode, thanks to game director Masahiro Sakurai's frustration with story scenes getting out on YouTube.
What, seriously?
