christ, I was expecting to see "10 heat-seeking automated turret systems." Just a little overkill, USA.
All this for some Mexicans sneaking over the border, hoping for a better life than the one they had been given....?
Geez, soon they will arrive at a point that the US/Mexican border is more secure than the NK/SK border or the East German/West German Border
All this for some Mexicans sneaking over the border, hoping for a better life than the one they had been given....?
And dangerous drug cartels that have the same operating capabilities of Al Qaeda that have been trafficking immigrants and smuggling drugs through tunnels and other means ranging from catapults to submarines.
And dangerous drug cartels that have the same operating capabilities of Al Qaeda that have been trafficking immigrants and smuggling drugs through tunnels and other means ranging from catapults to submarines.
Solution - end the war of drugs in the only possible way.
Solution - end the war of drugs in the only possible way.
Take over and integrate South America into the American Union, violently oppressing the population into submission and cooperation, for creation of a greater union for the safety and prosperity of us all.
Solution - end the war of drugs in the only possible way.
You end the war on drugs, you create a vacuum of money. The cartels stop shipping drugs, they ship ammo or guns south, they'll be doing it regardless of your ill-conceived notions on national policy. (Which admittedly should go through anyways, but for very different reasons.)

(Which admittedly should go through anyways, but for very different reasons.)
One of the main reasons why do they need guns and ammo on south is so they can protect their drug based endeavours. If there would be no war on drugs, the business of smuggling weapons southwards would be far less lucrative. Drug market has far stronger consumer base in the USA than the black weapons market has on the south, and even if they were comparable, the later would wither without the first. Furthermore, it's far easier to fight a cartel who has to do preparations primarily on your soil, instead of the very end of the run being there before the local network takes it over.
Land of opportunity my ass. Might as well lay a vast minefield. Its not like kicking out all of the illegals will solve anything. It will only kill farming, fruitpicking and any other job Americans view as beneath them.
Solution - end the war of drugs in the only possible way.
yeah criminal overlords who make their money through illicit means totally shut down when one of their many illegal means of income are legalized just like how prohibition killed the mob (it didn't)
yeah criminal overlords who make their money through illicit means totally shut down when one of their many illegal means of income are legalized just like how prohibition killed the mob (it didn't)
Are you daft? We are in the prohibition, right now, and when the last prohibition ended, it DID end the golden era of the mob!
Are you daft? We are in the prohibition, right now, and when the last prohibition ended, it DID end the golden era of the mob!
good to see you are completely ignorant to organized crime in the united states the mafia GREW in size after the prohibition. families found other more profitable terms of income, got absorbed into other families, or stopped existing. RICO and informants damaged the mob a hell of a lot more than the prohibition. when you were looking at doing 25 years for selling heroine, not many people thought twice about ratting out other mob members to get a lesser sentence it helps if you actually read about a subject before spouting off about it

can't wait for a chunk of my already pathetic pay check to pay for this!
not anti-tax, anti-govt-spending-on-bullshit
All this for some Mexicans sneaking over the border, hoping for a better life than the one they had been given....?
Okay if you don't mind illegal immigrants, you go to mexico and live there and the illegal immigrants can have your house, education and job.

They should just build a great wall.
Okay if you don't mind illegal immigrants, you go to mexico and live there and the illegal immigrants can have your house, education and job.
Sounds like the average argument you'd hear from a 5 year old.
wat no reapers? [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9c/CBP_Unmanned_aerial_vehicle.jpg[/t] nothing says "stay out" like a helfire missle and a massive breach of international law [editline]24th June 2013[/editline] but seriously i was expecting more firepower in that bill, good to see its not nearly as lethal as some of the hardliners want it to be
Considering how huge the US-Mexico border is, this is probably appropriate measures.
All this for some Mexicans sneaking over the border, hoping for a better life than the one they had been given....?
Some of it is to detect nuclear/radioactive material. Most of it seems like sensors or cameras more than anything. It's a little more reserved than a 45 foot high electrified fence isn't it? And you also have to consider that it's usually criminal elements that act as guides to get people over the border. And it costs almost everything if not everything they have to pay for the guide, which may run off at any time. It also is a preventative measure to keep more gang drugs out of the US.
