Galaxy S5 barely charges when plugged into my computer

When i plug the USB charger into my computer, it will only maybe charge 4% in 20 minutes. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Your computer's hub very likely can only provide it with a max of 500mA. Even the S3's wall charger is 1A. In my experience with an S3 (not even an S5, since I don't have one), 500mA is not even enough to keep up with the screen's energy draw.
If you must charge it via USB, accept that it's going to be slower than most wall plugs, and make sure the screen is off.
In my experience charging through PC is always slower than using a power socket, my S2 did the exact same thing.
Yeah. Even my super duper 3.0 charging port can't compare to a wall outlet
My asrock motherboards have a usb power boost option or some shit where it works better.
Got the extreme6 and it doesn't even do terribly well for my s4. Still better than normal USB, though.
USB just doesn't have the same power capabilities than a wall outlet does. This is typical for every modern phone or device in general that charges by a usb cable with a wall socket adapter.
