• Can't free up disk space because the uninstallation software requires more disk space.

My crappy computer is telling me that it has 0MB disk space free, and in order to do anything, I've got to delete unused programs. So it brings up the 'Add or Remove Programs' menu, showing me my most megabyte-hungry programs, such as Windows Office, Adobe Reader, Pinnacle Studio, and a load of other things I've never actually used - I only use this computer for playing GMod. However, when I click on 'remove', it goes to an installation process that tells me that I need to free up disk space in order to uninstall. I'm kind of stuck in a circle here. What should I do?
Try going to your directory and just highlight the things you want to uninstall and you delete them? Or use the disk cleanup tool on XP, cleared up 2 GB for me.

And while the disk cleanup tool did a tiny bit of help (505 MB free now, still 31GB used) it's probably not enough to sustain.

Since you're out of room, check on using CCleaner to clean out temp, dumps and other shit from your HDD.. also dump out the recycler. If you are still getting low space warnings, turn off hibernation (if enabled) by typing this into the run prompt: powercfg /H:off This will release the hiberfil.sys which will be atleast a good 1-3GB in size. You can also release some of your page file back to the drive.

Right click on (My)Computer and go down to Properties
Select the tab "Advanced"
Select "Settings" under the Performance section
Select the tab "Advanced" for the Performance Settings
Click on the "Change" button
Adjust to your liking. If it is controlled by windows, assume control for yourself by selecting custom size.
:siren: Note this :siren: A good algorithm for page file is to take your ram then add half of it to it. For example: You got 2048MB of RAM. For a page file: 2048+1024=3072MB (or 3GB on the dime) If its lower than what that calculation is, try lowering it even more temporary.

I'll try the rest of your advice, thanks.
Ok so it happened again. tried removing various programs but it always come up with this
Can you try and delete files manually then empty your trash? Does that actually free some data so you can uninstall programs properly?

I'll get back to you on that
