With exception of some risk of inducing mental illness, Lysergic Acid is one of the safest recreational drugs.
Give it a try, but make sure you have people with you that you trust, in case you have a bad trip.
Bad trips are like nightmares being awaken, right?
I can't speak from personal experience, but they are described as incapacitating feelings of panic and terror.
Go in with a good mindset and no huge feeling or emotions on your mind and you'll be alright.
Although if you're British, be careful, it's a class A drug with a 7 year sentence for possession, and if you're carrying large enough quantities for an Intent to Supply charge to stick, that's a life sentence.

Dont worry OP, its almost impossible to get caught with a tab, you'd have to be pretty dumb. And I totally recommend doing it, and also its pretty hard to get a bad trip unless like, you do it in a real uncomfortable situation or you have had some bad events leading up to you taking it, so as long as you aren't dumb then its totally worth it. on a side note, trouserDemon you tried weed yet? I remember you saying you wanted to try it a while ago.
Best drug I ever did (apart from DMT). Fucking do it. Ask no questions, just put that little square under your tongue until you become one with the universe.

I got put off by that study on the effects of it on people in the <24 agegroup. I'll wait until I'm in university at least. (~6 months)

Physically is it very safe. It will do no measurable physical harm to your body in a typical recreational quantity.
Any psychoactive drug has a risk of inducing mental illness; LSD has a risk incidence similar to Marihuana. Depending in your perspective of mental illness, that could let you justifiably consider it "way up there", but on an objective scale, it does minimal harm.

Anything can be bad in large doses, even weed if you somehow managed to smoke 10 times your body weight

If you try same dose with friends then I don't see really how things would go bad (saying that if you have good set and settings).
Good set = everything in your head ok like no mental/personal problem, you should be in in good mood when doing it. Also not being drunk or high, strictly no for first time.
Settings = the place where you trip, should be calm, without events that will disturb your trip. And no parents or your trip will probably suck. And you get idea, place should have good speakers with good music, tv/pc, comfortable places to sit/lie on, generally party setting.
It can also be in nature etc etc, but you should make sure there will be no unexpected events, like having a work to do, school, police anything shitty that will bother you.
I can guarantee good trip if your plan will be good.
Also one tab will make you trip but not much, you may not hallucinate very much, but you will still feel it going strong.

Frankly, if I was high and being asked PERSONAL questions by a doctor, I'd feel a little paranoid. As one subject said, she didn't feel any symptoms until the doctor said them.

Well studies on the long term effects of marihuana don't typically take place on people who are inebriated at the time. That would pollute the long term effects with the short term effects.
With regard to my choice of spelling of marihuana, that stems from a personal dislike of subscript extensions, such as on the letter J. It's not often I get to choose from alternate accepted spellings of a word, but when I can I use the one I prefer.
Hey trouser demon I'm pretty sure that study about mental effects of marijuana was based on people who smoke it regularly so trying it once will be ok. And foodstuffs hardly anyone does go into LSD psychosis, and most people who do only suffer it for a maximum of 48 hours so the chances of it happening are quite low.
So if you're having a psychosis , you should STRICTLY stay away from psychedelics?
What would it do if I took them? (I really want to)
