ok so I restored my laptop to its factory settings (reformatted pretty much) because a lot of my games that once ran perfectly were running like shit, css, bc2 etc. well now they run perfectly fine but no matter what game I play, be it Minecraft or css, I always overheat within minutes. My core temps get up to 100c (212f). Fans work fine from what I can see, and I've used more then enough compressed air. my laptop is a toshiba qosmio x505. Help pls?
open case -> clean
Just throwing in some extra notes here. Be sure that you don't bring in any static electricity into the laptop, this can be avoided by either Getting a bracelet (Dont remember its name, sorry) Holding a lamp or something Don't use a vacuum cleaner, since when the dust goes over the parts it might create static electricity.
open case -> clean
This is all I need to do, it lowers the temperature in my cores from 68C when idle to 44C when idle.. [editline]27th September 2011[/editline] Oh it's a laptop. Well I do it with a regular PC and it works fine
can I get more elaboration then just clean? what should I do exactly? and do I really need to worry about the electricity thing? [editline]27th September 2011[/editline] http://www.ehow.com/how_5318897_clean-inside-laptop-computer.html i suppose this is a good enough guide lol
