What is the performance gap between the ATI Radeon 4870, and the ATI Radeon 5750?
I would also like to know after OP gets his question answered, is ATI Radeon HD 5770 fairly good? I'm thinking of getting it, and I've heard good about it, I just want to make sure. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the 5750 is worse than a 4870. You'll be looking at the 5770 for similar performance, and the 5850 for around 70-80% better performance.
The 4870 holds a full 10 FPS lead over the 5750 in Crysis.

Don't bother going from a 4870 to 5750. Waste of money. You're better off getting a 5850/70.
