Hey guys, you can see the last space shuttle launch live here:

6 hours to go, I hope you don't miss it!
According to this:

There's another on (or after) the 28th of June.
oh well, then it's the previous-last launch
So... Is it the last because we aren't funding NASA enough? I think spacial exploration is key to solving many of the problems on our planet.
I'm going to resort back to what Carl Sagan was saying.

We're going to Mars in 2012, though. :buddy:

I think it's because NASA has something more cost effective in mind for space travel.
I've got to be at work in 5 hours :frown:
I think it's just the last space shuttle launch for the endeavor
Yep, last launch for Endeavour. Atlantis goes for its last flight in June and thus is the last flight of the Space Shuttle Program.
So much bad reading in this thread.
Well, I hope everything goes well.
This is just the end of the beginning, hopefully

Constellation has been postponed indefinitely (as of current) because the politicians need to pay off their debts.

Blowing up mountainous desert is more important then exploring the place that holds our entire existence.
Why boxes? You people have no sense of sarcasm.
The space program should really be re-invented, IMO. The current system of using fuel to lift a spaceship into the atmosphere and beyond is fairly inefficient.
You don't get to go to mars with a 1.3 trillion dollar fiscal deficit.
Is that an autonomous Russian craft, Progress 42?
If launched on time, the shuttle and the detached fuel tank should be visible over the UK only 15-20 minutes after launch, travelling west to east.
I hope to fuck this doesn't end up like the Columbia mission.

of course - we should stop using fuel and instead use magic. those scientists, eh?
Hopefully China or Russia will still be sending 20-30 years from now

Rampageturke 2 and Zackin5 are just jealous OF OUR GLORIOUS MOTHERLAND.
Such a pity given how much we don't know about space. Hopefully we'll be back up there again within our lifetimes.
