The more the merrier, Japan seems to've gotten their eyes out for the steam platform and their foreign fanbases more and more. Which is a real good thing.
Vanquish was a fucking [i]AWESOME[/i] and criminally underrated game.
If it comes to PC that would be super hype.
never played it, but platinum makes fun stuff and more pc ports are always appreciated.

It's a bit like Max Payne with rocket powered roller skates if I remember it correctly.

This game was insanely good, and the amount of depth there actually was to the gameplay was amazing for a shooter. I've wanted a pc port for ages, and people would love this.
I hope they add a newgame+ or some other way to keep your weapon upgrades, I think you lose them just by loading a saved game. This kinda made the game like gradius (having to collect upgrades on the fly to reach your fav weapons true potential) but it became kinda tedious in between play sessions for a game of this style and length.
This could also be them hinting that they are making a sequel, and releasing for pc? I guess we'll see!

Platinum needs to stop making samey hack n slashes every 6 months and make more games like Vanquish.

Actually it wasn't due to save games, it was due to dying. Everytime you die your current weapon upgrade goes down one.
