It was clear from the beginning that such a thing would be the entry point to enable much more things and categories to filter.

But once this comes into effect. Those people who are affected by such censorship (cause of parents enabling those filters) will soon learn on how to easily bypass it.

I don't know how they will filter it, but depending on the method this can be bypassed easily.
- A Free or Premium VPN
- A Some Free Proxy
- TOR
- Change to Google DNS or OpenDNS (If they use DNS to block access to sites)
- Or use HTTPS Everywhere (Some filters can't filter HTTPS traffic)

I genuinely cannot see any advantage this proposal would have.

It'd lessen the UK's prestige and status abroad due to the restricted freedom of expression and information, it'd hamper the economy of both the UK itself and other nations because of a sizable market potentially being lost (especially for non-mainstream businesses) and above all it paves the way to more censorship.
