INCINNATI, Ohio — A viral video that shows rapper 50 Cent accusing an airport worker of being high on drugs went viral — and the Internet is lashing out.
Curtis James Jackson III, best known as 50 Cent, shared a video on Twitter and Instagram on Sunday that shows him harassing a janitor at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport for being “high.”
“Listen… the new generation is crazy. They’re crazy,” 50 Cent can be heard saying in the video. “What’s your name?” 50 Cent asks the worker. The worker does not respond, so 50 Cent continues harassing him
it would be wise for feddy pence to apologizes to this guy
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
Harassing random people no matter what reason is okay as long as you're trying to be "funny". Or is it just okay if it's some famous rapper? Is this what you're saying?
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
Then he shares it on his Twitter anyway. "Wow fans look at me being an asshole to a janitor."
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
cool a dude has trouble hearing and mild autism so its totally okay to mock him as long as you're trying to be funny
I was once up for 30 hours and I had to do a 10 hour shift once, some guy at the drivethru did this to me minus recording. I had a similar reaction. He doesn't look high he looks like he's done with people's shit today.
Imagine being so wealthy (well he is bankrupt, but we all know that is horse shit) or even an average person and having enough care/bother to point out harass people who don't do anything to get in your way for no reason at all. He should take up religion.
He doesn't look high he looks like he's done with people's shit today.
He even shakes his head in the video when asked for his name. Why that indicates to 50 cent to continue recording instead of just walking away is beyond me.
He says this generation is crazy, and assumes this kid is high. I can guarantee that 50-cent has rapped about drugs. Our generation learned about this shit from somewhere.
With all the drugs 50 Cent has indulged himself in, he should know better than to shame someone else and potentially make them lose their jobs and permanently fuck up all their future job searches.
If it were the other way around, 50 Cent would be on the front line of ensuring people do not get unfairly discriminated against for drug usage.
i hope 50 cent turns into a single cent so he will be worth 50 times less and nobody will like him anymore because he a penny and he get phased out
i hope 50 cent turns into a single cent so he will be worth 50 times less and nobody will like him anymore because he a penny and he get phased out
His career is already on life-support.

dont use that poor man to mock 50 cent he is probably dead he looks bad, you are doing what 50 cent did
What a fuckface. Celebrities of all people shouldn't be filming random people and sharing them like some vine star.
i hope 50 cent turns into a single cent so he will be worth 50 times less and nobody will like him anymore because he a penny and he get phased out
thank you so much for that
What a piece of shit. Even if the guy wasn't disabled and was high what give him the right to act like that? Has he never listened to his own music?
imagine the completely inverted reaction to this if the guy was actually just high lol
you guys need to relax
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
So its perfectly okay to just film yourself mocking some random stranger and its all good since you are attempting to be funny.
That's like performing one of these idiotic pranks or social experiments and go "ITS JUST A PRANK" and whatever you did before that is all forgiven because of it
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
It's just a prank bruh! That makes defamation A-okay!
Fuck this guy. I hope that kid gets the rest of this undeserving prick's money
imagine the completely inverted reaction to this if the guy was actually just high lol
you guys need to relax
Yeah, everyone should just relax, I mean isn't it just hilarious when people get up in your face recording you with their phones and start "Roasting" you cause of how you look?
I mean yeah man, people would have had a totally different reaction to this if he turned out to be high, totally. Cause that would just make it A-okay to start mocking someone and record it! It's even funnier if you do it while they're working!
So just relax guys, and remember, it's okay to be a douche to someone if they're high.
Disappointed.
I add least expected the video to be funny, the kid is just doing his job though.
Why would you continue to film, then upload it, when he got absolutely no reaction from him? It's just a weird ego trip for him I guess.
imagine the completely inverted reaction to this if the guy was actually just high lol
you guys need to relax
50 cent would still be a prick even if the kid was high
You're missing the point entirely
What a rude guy.
It seems like some folks take a janatorial position so they don't have to do customer service things like talk to the general public, and here comes Fitty bothering him while he's trying to work. Ugh.
Uh he tried to be funny, that guy did look high and 50 Cent didn't even really fucking do anything besides awkwardly repeat himself. It even seems like after he realized the guy didn't find what he was doing funny he backed off.
Yeah he totally backed off, by then posting the video on the internet
Yeah he totally backed off, by then posting the video on the internet
Yeah he totally backed off, by backing away from the person he was recording that he thought was high. He clearly hadn't been made aware that this employee had mild autism in the time between meeting him and putting this video on his Twitter so I don't think it's appropriate to attack him.
It's just a prank bruh! That makes defamation A-okay!

50 Cent mistakenly thought an autistic employee was high at an airport and posted his encounter with said employee on social media, therefore he should have his entire life's work given to that autistic employee. Sound logic. He didn't denigrate this employee in any actual capacity besides suggesting he may have been high. The only thing 50 Cent is guilty of is being ignorant and failing to recognize someone's mental disability.
the fuck kind of argument is this
you do realize if an employer sees stuff like this posted all over social media theyll generally start to wonder if said staff was high on the job?
You do realize if an employer was aware of why 50 Cent thought he was high (his appearance/behavior), they would recognize the fact this particular employee has a mental disability that affects appearance and behavior and that 50 Cent was wrong?
So its perfectly okay to just film yourself mocking some random stranger and its all good since you are attempting to be funny.

I don't know what was really supposed to be mocking about the video until he said "This is the new generation!" but that is a fairly appropriate response to thinking a janitor is too high to talk/presumably do his job. 50 Cent may have led the video on too long, but he probably hoped the employee he didn't know had a disability would make it less awkward for him.
cool a dude has trouble hearing and mild autism so its totally okay to mock him as long as you're trying to be funny
When did I say it's okay to mock autistic people? He didn't know the man had any form of autism, obviously, and probably wanted to joke with an employee about being high at the airport/surprise someone who's high by acting like he knew. He didn't say anything about a new generation until the man wasn't responding. This is just a case of him not being smart enough to know the man had autism. Are you really suggesting 50 Cent knowingly went up to a man with autism and started mocking him in a desperate attempt to be funny?
Harassing random people no matter what reason is okay as long as you're trying to be "funny". Or is it just okay if it's some famous rapper? Is this what you're saying?
It's okay to approach a janitor you think is too high to do his job and try to joke with him. Stop trying to pretend I must love 50 Cent or that I think celebrities must be above other people to think he has at least some right in trying to joke about a drug he likes with someone he thinks is on that drug.
Also to people saying "What if he lost his job because of this?" Who would make the decision to fire an autistic employee that shows no signs different from his normal signs of disability just because "50 Cent said you were high in this video!"? That person would be held legally responisble for firing a disabled person for no real reason.
I'm going to respond to all your "points" in bold.
Yeah he totally backed off, by backing away from the person he was recording that he thought was high. That is why you don't randomly record people and accuse them of shit that you have no idea about. Guess what, he isn't trained to detect sobriety or intoxication. No he went up to someone who he clearly didn't know in an attempt to make fun of and shame them. If you think someone is high on the job you report it to the proper authority. You don't be a dickwad, record it and harass them. If the worker was really high 50 could have provoked the person and got himself hurt. If 50 used his brain this situation would have easily been avoided.

G-unit defense squad is in full force today. You really think 50 cares about the workers and that work place? Fuck no, he was just trying to get some online kudo points by acting like a dickhead. I'm glad it back fired on this loser, because that is what he is. He is a complete and utter joke now days.

What part of posting a fucking video on the internet after following around embarassing the poor kid, is part of "backing off"? If he was "backing off" the video wouldn't be being discussed right now because it wouldn't have been posted, would it
Have you ever heard of defamation? What about libel?
The kid having autism has nothing to do with it. Autistic or not what 50 cent did is wrong. How are you seriously defending this?
Even if the guy was high it's not his fucking business and if he wanted to report it that is totally not the right way to do it
50 cent's career is so bad he has to start beefs with janitors
I can bold too
That is why you don't randomly record people and accuse them of shit that you have no idea about. Guess what, he isn't trained to detect sobriety or intoxication. Even then a normal person would look at that person and clearly see he isn't high. 50 was to busy trying to be an edge lord and interweb star.
What did he accuse him of besides being on some kind of medication? He doesn't even necessarily imply at any point in the video he's on something illegal. He says "pupils dialated" and "high as a muthafucka" but that doesn't even attack his character, it suggests he is on something, legal or illegal unspecified, before going to work. It would be hard to hold up in court that this is any form of defamation just because it fits the Google definition of the word.
Again, he acted like an asshole and is being treated like one. Don't want to be treated like shit, don't treat others like shit. Pretty simple rule, being a sellout shitty artist doesn't give you a free pass.
Calling him crazy because of his appearance is wrong only if he knew it was because he was autistic, why is it wrong for him to say an employee is "crazy" for coming to work on drugs? How would you define what he did as treating someone like shit when he was trying to laugh with him? I never insinuated being anything could let someone insult other people for having mental disabilities.
Doesn't matter, its called defamation of character. When you accuse someone of something, place it on the internet and slander their name you can be held liable.
What did he accuse him of besides being high? Something that could be the effect of really any drug, he intentionally left it vague and never even defamed his character in any legal essence of the term.
Why are you defending him so hard? He was clearly wrong, acted wrongfully, and is being treated accordingly. He is a big boy, he can get himself out of this.
Thanks for ignoring my argument. He acted "wrong" only if you think he did this intentionally and knew he was insinuating that people with autism look like they're high. Which again is an incredibly vague thing to define as there are no real drugs attributed to what he's saying, just two symptoms. He's already gonna pay for this by getting cut off by people already so it doesn't even matter. I just think he shouldn't be so vilified for being uneducated and making a reasonable mistake.
No he went up to someone who he clearly didn't know in an attempt to make fun of and shame them. Does not matter if the kid was high, does not matter if he has autism. 50 should have had enough respect to not invade someones private space and harass him while working. In this case it really back fired because the workers disability.
What 50 Cent did was in no way shaming really, crazy doesn't even necessarily have a negative connotation from an ebonics perspective. We don't know what 50 Cent was thinking as he walked up to him but there is nothing wrong with walking up to a janitor and trying to joke with him about coming to work "high as a muthafucka". This was all done in a friendly context initially and 50 Cent was probably just dumb and assumed he must have been truly "high as a muthafucka" if he was incapable of responding. 50 Cent should not be held liable for maybe suggesting an employee was on something that causes pupil dilation and a "high" when he was just uneducated on what disabled people could look like.
If you think someone is high on the job you report it to the proper authority. You don't be a dickwad, record it and harass them. If the worker was really high 50 could have provoked the person and got himself hurt. If 50 used his brain this situation would have easily been avoided.
50 Cent had nothing against the worker and did not want any legal action to be taken against him. If the person had been high and was like "Hey 50 Cent haha what's up?" this wouldn't be news. He was unable to respond which just made 50 Cent think he must of been higher. Also what are you talking about? High people don't just violently attack people, ESPECIALLY an employee who goes to work high...
Does not matter, again don't make false accusations.
Bolding a rejection of the valid point that this isn't even defamation and that no action could be taken against the worker in any context doesn't make you right. He "accused" him of having dialated pupils (which could have been true) and being "high". Something vaguely defined.
50 Cent IS a sellout loser, but this seemed to be friendly in intentions at least when he began recording. He is laughing and finds it to be humorous.
