They should find a way to selectively enable and disable mods. For example, harmless stuff like texture replacements or sound mods should be allowed in, but anything that alters the hitboxes or physics of an object or player is automatically disabled until the end of your session. Kinda like sv_pure 1 servers.
But they won't, because that would be fun.
And Rockstar hates fun.
Now buy more Shark Cards.

Fun for them, not for you.
Fun for them, not for you.
Yup but if you are banned is not fun at all to not playing anymore...
people who got banned deserve it really
I was banned for having money shit on me.
There are a lot of false positives that get banned.
If Rockstar had something like "modded lobby" or something that didn't allow progress but allowed you to play with mods with friends without fear of getting banned, that would be good.
[sp]I doubt it's going to happen though given FiveM's fate[/sp]
Fun for them, not for you.
Yeah screw those guys trying to have fun and piss about in a game about having fun and pissing about. Like cheating in GTAV is spawning a jet or giving yourself a shit ton of money.
Meanwhile i've probably hacked over 200 million in money for myself and more for my friends and even fucked around with the Flash mod and never got banned

Do you own the game? Remember how you couldn't play online until a few months ago, when these guys were finally banned?

How about when they could permanently delete all of your weapons and ammo? Taking your username and framing it for mod attacks, getting you banned? That was fun.

Hmm, people should be banned for being arseholes not cheating. Also yeah I do own the game, but it's on my CS alt because my Steam account is locked to R*SC account I have no way to access.

Lost all my cars that way, so I just quit.
What a shitty networking code.
Yeah, this is why you need dedicated servers and not P2P shit. If GTA 5 actually uses a server then it's coded like shit for things like that to be possible. Mods are fine, just require them to be on the server rather than any client mods working.

Damn Rockstars suck alot , I'm not going to play their games anymore ...
I prefer Saint Row at least on it you dont have something to buy in game with real cash and you can play mod if you want and the game is more hilarous...
Probably gonna receive a bunch of dumb ratings for this but I bought GTA V for a second time on my alt Steam account just so I can mess with mods around in single-player.
In my opinion it's better than having to always disable your mods when you want to go online and then enable them again.

afaik that is still happening, some guy framed me and two other guys when i was playing two days ago
Hmm, people should be banned for being arseholes not cheating.
I think it's really weird how so many people accept cheating in GTA Online. I was playing Online yesterday and some dude using an invincibility cheat was driving around killing people, and when few players called the guy an asshole surprisingly many just said "If it bothers you stop playing the game".
It's really annoying. I want to play GTAO legitimately, but the attitude seems to be "If you don't like playing with cheaters, suck it up or fuck off, we should be able to do whatever we want". Like they're entitled to cheating and using mods online.
people who got banned deserve it really
Not really, all a lot of us ever did was dick around on invite only servers completely segregated from everyone else.
Hell, all adding a forced anticheat that you can't even deactivate for private games really did for me was make me quit playing, because all the fun's gone. I have like $5 mil sitting in my GTAO bank account since I never got banned or caught, but what am I going to do with that? Buy three fucking cars and go back to doing the same thing over and over again so that maybe I can buy a $25,000 biker helmet?
The issue with the game was that they made it impossible to just dick around and have fun. Trainers removed things like:
1.) Dumb clothing restrictions
2.) Dumb restrictions on shit that made no real sense to restrict like the duffle bag or police uniform or shit like that.
3.) Non-removable cops. Sometimes people don't want to waste 6 minutes of their life trying to escape from the police because they shot one guy, plus there's the times where you get your ass shot and your car impounded. Whoever thought that was a good gameplay element should slam their face into a brick wall as hard as they can.
4.) Ridiculous money and level and win restrictions on shit that didn't need it.
and a fuckton more. Basically, most of the problems people had with the game since release were solved come the release of trainers. Like sure, the dickbags using Niggermenu to ruin everyone's good time deserved it, but did people in private sessions just hanging out blowing shit up Saints Row-style really deserve it? FlakTheMighty made Friendly Menu so we could have basic shit like an airbreak, car spawning and modifying on the fly, etc., and he still got banned. I mean I suppose you could be one of those people who rides Rockstar's dick so hard they can't see the flaws of Online, but I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt. Like I said, I can understand hating assholes who go into public matches blowing up cars, killing everyone, trying to crash people's games, etc., but grouping people who just wanted to have some fun in private sessions into that is just egregious. Hell, a lot of modders wouldn't be so pissed if all they did was disable monetary and rank gain while in a private session and remove the anticheat from it, because then we could actually have fun, and your vanilla public games would remain intact.
Plus, let's not forget that they banned the fuck out of the FiveM devs for "facilitating piracy" when the social club integration into FiveM was designed to prevent piracy.
[editline]30th September 2015[/editline]
tldr rockstar fucked up and people found a way around their fuckups and rockstar banned them for having fun
