It's an okay game, just don't expect a metroidvania, the game is linear as all hell.
Really didn't like Lords of Shadow. It felt like a clusterfuck both artistically and gameplay wise.

I could care less about the linearity of it, if only it just had that good music from the original time line and not that Atmospheric Orchestral stuff that not all that catchy.

I dunno, I felt like it had a really cool, consistent Gothic atmosphere up until the end levels where you're in hell, then it just turned into the cover art for every 80s thrash metal album.
That is, if we're talking about the first game specifically, Mirror of Fate was just Drac's castle again and I haven't played LoS 2, but I've heard there's some kind of weird cyberpunk thing going on with it.
