Second one is really cool! I guess a way to improve your drawings would be to add texture and detail. There's not too much detail, so it's almost like they are outlines I guess...but they're not bad at all.

Your technique is a little simple, but I love the creativness in the second picture. The colours in the 'muzzle flash' makes it look butiful and makes that little part stick out. Keep it up

ya, i like it a lot as well. it was done pretty fast tho. In a night or so. it was for my friends wall so ya, ill put more time into it.

Shading is just one value of grey added over it. shading makes it look flat and boring, add more values don't be scared of it. And it woudn't hurt to have some 3 dimensional thinking once in a while.

perspective is skewn, metal texture is not very good, looks more like plastic. You didn't shade it like you'd shade a metal thing.
It's a .22lr firing from a very heavy barrel, apparently.
Use a ruler next time.

Alright , and it prolly looks like plastic brcase to get an idea of the prepective I pointed in aitsoft gun at my face, hahaha. But ya I told you it was old. I have rulers and French curves now.
Can't think of what to draw tho, any ideas ?
do what I do, put a random line on paper and evolve from there.

Some nice ideas, but you seem to have some problems with spacing and dimensions. Like in the second piece where the bullet is going off the page. Also it seems like you had some spacing trouble in the octopus piece as well, where the tentacles are turning wherever the edge of the paper is. Try to plot out which thing goes where before you put it on the paper.

Flat as in it lacks depth and perspective. It looks as though it's a cardboard cutout. You need to add some perspective (It should look three dimensional), unless of course you were going for the flat look. But chances are you weren't seeing as some of the tentacles are changing shape based on distance.

oh and about the bullet thing, it's just the way i took the picture. There's plenty of room, but i see what you're getting at.
The shading is all grey. Put some blacks and whites in there.
