ON HOLD AT THE MOMENT. POSSIBLE RECOVERY OF FORMER PC.
Hey guys, I recently made a thread in the Tech Support about my comp freezing. Well earlier today it just kicked the bucket.
I think I'm in need of a new computer anyway as it was about 3-4 years old anyway. Top notch beast rig it was though, gonna miss it.
I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to this so I need some advice.
I'd like to get a new build done, as mentioned my budget is about $2,500 Australian Dollars. $2,000 if possible, but I'm willing to pull the sacrifice and add in that extra $500 if need be.
Being a novice, my old rig was discussed right here in this thread section where many helpful individuals mentioned the parts I needed. I'm wondering if that could suffice once more.
That being said, could I get some suggestions on the parts I need? Is Windows 8 good or should I stick to 7?
A full list of parts would be amazing. The only things I don't need are a monitor and a case. I can use my relatively new monitor and I'm pretty sure I can still use my CoolMaster Advanced 912 HAF.
If it wasn't obvious, I'm a hardcore gamer so I'm looking to get a nice gaming rig done.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
$2000 is a great budget. And fuck that haf 912 case, it's shit, I hate mine.

If you want performance alone for around $2200 aud you could crossfire 290s, but that's not really important if you're just gaming at 1080p. You can buy everything from CPL for $2100 as well and get free shipping i believe. It might also be worthwhile for you to get a i7 4770k instead.
What is your current pc and what exactly is wrong with it?

Don't even think about suggesting a PC to him.
