• Will this setup not fit in a medium-sized case?

I was chatting with my friend over Steam, and I posted my specs, he said "nice build bro" but when I showed him the case he said: "I think you should get a larger case, I don't think that will fit in a medium-sized one" Here are the specs: CPU- INTEL CORE I7 920 (2.66GHZ) SKT 1366 BOX (D0) PSU- Corsair TX-650W GPU- GEFORCE GTX 275 896 MB GDDR3 Optical Drive- ASUS DRW-24B1LT DVDRW 24X DL LIGHTSCRIBE SATA Hard Drive- SAMSUNG 1TB SATA II 32MB RAM- CORSAIR KIT 6GB DDR3 1333MHZ XMS3 (CL9) Motherboard- GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD
Define a "medium sized case".
He recommended me a full tower case, I'm wondering if it will be necessary or if the mid-tower case will do the job well.
What cooler?
should fit.. (if you are referring to mid tower) but the HAF-932 is a really great case to get. My GTX 275 fits great in a mid tower, but it almost hits the hard drive enclosure. but just by half an inch. its okay.. reasonable. and its a shit case. get a HAF-932 or antec 900 (or whatever) its a great case and worth the cash.. supports E-ATX, too. also, what site did you get that from? do you get to choose the S-Spec? (e.g. SLBEJ (D0))

Which mid-tower case are you looking at exactly?
Which mid-tower case are you looking at exactly?
It's dimensions are: DIMENSIONS (W x H x D) 206X459X522 mm [editline]01:10AM[/editline] I won't specify it because of your little bandwagon in this forum against this certain brand of cases.

I'm assuming you're looking at a Rosewill then. I think that you should get this instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 It's 457.2mm x 464.82mm x 205.74mm OR 18" x 18.3" x 8.1" Much more room than what you're looking at, and it's affordable. Reason it has less depth is because it's a Micro.
moar leik http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066 comes with the extra fans any sensible person would add anyway
a mid tower is fine, no one really needs a fulltower unless you are me and think it looks kick ass
Ha. I'm assuming you're looking at a Rosewill then.
Actually, NZXT [editline]12:30PM[/editline]
a mid tower is fine, no one really needs a fulltower unless you are me and think it looks kick ass
I see... Well, I guess I will stick to mid-tower. Thanks for the help, guys.
IMO nzxt cases look (like an) arse.
You mind trying to even link us to what the case is? Seems like you're asking us if X can fit in X but with no good detailed info to make an accurate assumption.
Actually, NZXT [editline]12:30PM[/editline]
I find nothing wrong with an NZXT case. I might even get one myself. Just compare the dimensions in the OP with the case you'd like to suggest to him.
Better to link us to the case since we may be able to link him to an even better case.
OP, do you intend on buying a new case?
