Probably bullshit, but who knows? Fingers crossed it isn't. It's not out of the question, with Forge and the upcoming Halo Wars 2 on PC.

There were a few credible leaks of people testing Halo5 for the PC but most people thought it was just to iron out the kinks in Forge: Halo 5.
But sure, why not just ship it as a complete product?
I've stopped caring about getting Halo on PC after seeing where the "story" has gone. I'd like the Halo 1 remaster to come back, but aside from that other shooters in the mean time have grabbed my attention, like UT4.

That's so odd, a sale is a sale, whatever platform it's on. If they have the product why not sell it? They've realised at this point that you don't lose out on anything if you release your game on PC and console (see Gears Ultimate or Rise of the Tomb Raider) so why actively decide not to make money? Similar thing to Blizzard and their whole Legacy server thing.
They'll probably release it long after the free forge and custom games only version is out.
Give people a taste of the game and then charge later on for the full package.
I still doubt this happening considering the way they announced the H5 Forge for PC, but who knows. The no MCC thing is weird.
Halo 5 has only sold 3/4 million copies...? Dont quote me on that but considering the damage was caused by the colossal fuck up that is MCC, i think these numbers has really forced Microsofts hand here.
I hope they actually do it this time and on a discounted price, seeing how it's been out for just under a year. And honestly, it plays like a charm for the most part... The whole story is a bit of a mess, somewhat but thats to be expected from sequel hooks.

I thought the halo 5 storyline was decent, better than Halo 4. It was cool to fight on Sangheilios and talk to a female elite for the first time.

They don't want to sell Halo 5. They want to sell Xbox Ones to people playing Halo 5.

What would be the worst? 4? Honestly Halo hasn't been the same since Reach. It's gotten too CoD for its' own good.
Halo Reach and 4 are the closest games in the franchise to CoD mainly because of loadouts, and sprinting I guess.
But Halo 5 is not even close to being like CoD.

The singleplayer isn't the best compared to previous halos, but the multiplayer is the best since 2.

That's a weirdly objective statement. Somehow I highly doubt that anyway. I personally think Reach was Halo's pinnacle (gettit?) with Bungie basically putting together everything they'd learned making Halo to make the ultimate Halo game. But that's pretty rare apparently. Maybe it's cause Reach released at a time when I was just getting old enough to be properly competent at games at a competitive level.
A few years ago it felt like we were so close to getting Halo games on PC, with drivers appearing and Halo 3 appearing in Steam database stuff. And then nothing happened.

Halo 3 definitely had the best multiplayer, with Halo 2 being runner up, then 1, then Reach, then 5, then a ball and a cup toy, then 4.
