This game is fucking awesome until the end, surprised it just now got on Steam though.
Better late than never
'bout time.
Also the papercutter was godlike.
Shame the second one never got a PC release.
Nothing has ever scared me as much as that big house level.
Se7en: The Game
Shame the second one never got a PC release.
It wasn't nearly as good anyway.
As the game isn't available in Germany can I play it if, for example an austrian could gift it to me? I mean, will it work on my steam account then?
It's just now on Steam? Oh my.
Maybe I'll even buy it. Though I still can't forgive 'lith for Bloodshot.
This was one of my first "next-gen" games I played on PC and just got blown away by the gadgets, interactivity with grabbing any weapon you can hold, and graphics at the time despite playing on medium-low settings. And even today, I think it's still quite the looker compared to some games, gonna have to replay this on max settings this time.
just saw a gameplay of both games
holy shit this looks scarier than amnesia
not available in my region ;_;
holy shit this is finally on steam YES
One of my favorite games of all time.
Genuinely frightening and amazingly atmospheric.
Also mannequins.
Ahh, great game.

The bear part was great though.
Pretty amazing how is was a 360 launch title.
Wow, I'd been hoping this would get on steam some day.

(Woops forgot, the video is Condemned 2)
Condemned is well worth the money i tell you
I enjoyed the second one until it turned into dragonball z: hobo edition.
Penumbra collection or this?
Penumbra collection or this?
Hm, well i think you gotta decide that for yourself.
If you just want a 100% horror game you should go for Penumbra but if you like it less but with more action you go for this.
Personally i would go for Penumbra for its atmosphere and the fact you got no weapons
Screw it, I bought both :P.
Just a fair warning: this has a bug that will cause your game to lag horrendously if you run Windows 7 (can't remember if it's x64 specific) and have a G series Logitech mouse. Post from Guru3d that explains the issue better:
there's a bandwith issue with Direct Input and the JupiterEX Engine (F.E.A.R., and Condemned: Criminal Origins), and I use a Logitech G5 Mouse, and it's affected by this problem.. So yes, by disabling direct input hooks that XFire does, we ignore the Direct Input bandwith bottleneck issue, thus not crippling ingame framerates!
For users with Logitech G series Mice and Keyboards that suffer framerate issues? you may want to do this HID Driver fix too, cause it's known to cause framerate issues ingame due to the Direct Input bottleneck on the JupiterEX Engine (as I stated above, lol). To do it you must disable all "HID-Compliant Device" drivers with "046D" in the the HardwareID. Sadly, this makes Logitech's SetPoint Program totally useless.. but at least keeps your FEAR framerates up eh?
Here's Manual Instructions for that fix:
* Go into Device Manager (Start > Control Pannel > System > Hardware (tab) > Device Manager)
* Hit the Plus (+) sign beside "Human Interface Devices"
* Right-Click on the first "HID-Compliant Device" in the list and select "Properties"
* Click on the "Details" tab
* Open the drop-down list and select "HardwareID" from that list
* Check if it has "046D" in the HardwareID.. usually looks like "HID\VID_046D&PID" for where it would have it
* If it has the "046D" in the HardwareID, close the properties menu and select that "HID-Compliant Device" and Right-Click on it and select "Disable"
* You may need to check serveral "HID-Compliant Device" drivers, for me it was two of them, the 2nd and 3rd in my list

Yeah, same problem as with FEAR so it's pretty widely known, but it's nice to know nonetheless.
i can truly say this is the scariest game i've ever played.
or was, i dont know if it would scare me if i play it again
The second games a pretty fun adventure till the end of the game, then it just gets from unbelievable to a mess of itself.
Throat powers. You have throat powers.

I have actually never played the first one. Didn't have a 360 at the time, and didn't know they ported it.
But yeah, shit got weird toward the end when your guy gets that.
Ruined the whole damned game imo.
First game was awesome. Second game could have been awesome if it ended right after the bear.
