I'd like them to release an option to remove the notices from unusual weapon rank-ups.
I really don't care if some stranger achieved a higher rank for their stupid weapon.

Maybe someday they will release a "nostalgia" gamemode that only lets player use the default weapons and the nine original hats.

Pre-Heavy Update? Pre-Launch? Everyone has a different option about how far back it would need to go and it would create a whole new set of problems for Valve has to how to implement it while pleasing everyone.
Also why should they even bother, TF2 is the most popular game on steam and the time it would take to please the minority who want a "Vanilla mode" is not worth it when they could instead cater to all the people still playing the game.

People begged for a classic gamemode after the CS:S engine update. People begged for a classic Steam after the UI update. Valve is never going to release a classic gamemode just because people can't accept that the game is changing beyond what it once was. You want only original content? It's all still in the game. Use it.
I swear to God I am getting so tired of seeing a post complaining about the artstyle or gameplay or promo items every single fucking update. I get it. WE get it. You don't need to keep saying it.

Why would you need an official game mode? As said before Im sure there are servers that run that, and valve wasting resources on that is stupid. And if there are not any servers that run that, quit whining and learn to make a server that runs vanilla. You obviously think it would be a popular server.

A vanilla gamemode is stupid. There are plenty of Sourcemod plugins that disable the after-release stuff, but practically no popular server is using it. And you know why? Because nobody wants to play it for longer than a match or two before getting bored.

It's not so much as a "Wah I think the artstyle is ruined wah" and more of a "Those laser weapons for the soldier wreak havoc on my machine and cause lag". If you want to be lazy and say that they "updated it to the graphics standard of today" or whatever then they should at least change the minimum requirements on the store page.

- remove every demoknight oriented weapon
- remove natascha
- remove tomislav
- disable unusual hat effects
- disable promotional hats/items
