But why? I thought it was perfectly fine as someone who never even plays Mercy.
Seems odd to nerf the revive of all things.
Seems weird in first glance, but most of the Mercy I have seen playing myself and others on the PTR used it mostly to get 2 players resurrected instead of 3. Though they just gone ahead and axed that completely, the reasoning is completely beyond me. What I would find fine as a compromise, on Mercy's Ult, giving her a res but still counting down the old one, so if you have one ready, a second is able to be used instantly. (Kinda like Symetra's turrets work normally) Would still allow to keep a team going with an additional res on-top of the regular one whilst not demoting Valkyrie solely to übercharge/second-escape-plan kind of ult. Another rather ironic thing is they also slashed the skill ceiling about mercy back down again to previous Non-PTR levels, bragging they wanted to improve it. Before the nerf, you had to weigh so many factors before popping it, now it fits on a one-page flowchart.
People on the reddit/blizzard forums complain res is OP because they don't focus her. And most balance changes are made on that basis. Community feedback is one thing but when you rely on it to make sweeping changes to balance you get shit like this.

It worked for TF2, after all.
It seems like almost every week something is buffed, nerfed or just changed in some way in Overwatch goddamn
