A police report shows Heather Rodriguez was arrested Monday evening after she approached the off-duty officer and displayed a glass pipe. Authorities say she then told police she was trying to buy methamphetamine for her sister's birthday. Records say she also told police the pipe was not hers and she was holding it for a friend. The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/TN5qPT) Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on several drug charges. Officials at the jail did not know if she had an attorney.
nah
Insert breaking bad reference here
I think in California if you're giving some drug to someone as a 'gift' rather than for purchase the charges are different. Maybe she was hoping that was the case

Maybe she was hoping that was the case
I live in California and have never heard of this, but if that is really the case then that's fucking dumb.

I never understood the "I'm just holding it for a friend" excuse. Possession is illegal, holding it for a friend is still possession, it is still illegal. Idiot.

I bet she asks for a speedy trial.
