Titan QuestD.exe has stopped working (Also TqitD.exe)

I bought Titan Quest and Immortal Throne from Direct2Drive a couple years back.
They used to work, but upon reinstall NOW, they do not.

Both games give the same error message:
Titan QuestD.exe has stopped working.
TqitD.exe has stopped working.

In my Titan Quest folder is:
Titan Quest.exe
Titan QuestD.exe

Titan QuestD.exe stops working on launch.
Titan Quest.exe asks for a CD even though I bought it online. I downloaded a 1.3 no cd crack for the game, and now it will launch from using titan quest.exe

However,
in my Titan Quest Immortal Throne folder is only TqitD.exe.
I downloaded a 1.0 no cd crack (or essentially a Tqit.exe *note no 'd') and then it loaded as well, but when I get into the game it says that
"Immortal Throne must update Titan Quest Game files in order to proceed."
I click continue, and it closes the game and does nothing.

Anyone else had this problem?
Anyone know how to fix it?

Did direct2drive not include the proper .exe files?

Those cracks (I assume, it could be something else) are causing SecuROM to fail which is causing the game to crash.
