The third movie, to be titled Riddick, will be written and directed by the man behind the first two movies in the series, David Twohy, and co-produced by Twohy and star Vin Diesel. I didn't like Pitch Black, and Chronicles was ok. Seems too much like a Sci-fi Conan the Barbarian.

Can't say I'm not excited.

Pitch Black could have been better, but Chronicles was pretty good. I hope the third is better.

Pitch Black was fucking ace. One of the few movies I have ever watched more than once. Chronicles of Riddick was pretty awesome, but it was more bad-assery than epic-winness. Personally I hope the new Riddick is more akin to Pitch Black to Chronicles. Though I'm having a hard time imagining how that would be done.

Pitch Black was brilliant. Never saw Chronicles, heard it sucked. The games were absolutely incredible though. And REALLY hard...

Pitch Black was great, Chronicles sucked ass and was horribly boring. I wonder what this one's gonna be like.

Riddick's awesome. Good to see he's getting at least one more movie. But will this be a sequel or a prequel? If it's a sequel it'd probably chronicle what happened after the Necromonger leadership was forced upon him at the end of Chronicles. If a prequel, i'd probably think either Butcher Bay or Dark Athena.

I tried to watch Pitch Black the other day but I didn't put full concentration into it, but I love Chronicles and they seem to show it at least 1 or 2 times a month here in the UK on ITV2, so if it carries on from Chronicles i'll be happy.

It reminds me from Half Life for some reason, maybe because the first one is very dark and the 2nd explains more stuff?

Pitch black was alright, chronicles made little to no sense at all. Still, I'd like to see them expand on the universe as it's quite a nice setting.

i really hope its a prequel, if the story follows what happens after Chronicles the character will be ruined

I liked both films. So I look forward to a third film. Didn't he become the leader of those Necro-peeps or whatever in Chronicles of Riddick?
