A Patrulha do Consumidor this monday (25) showcased something completely different from what you've seen. Cleide didn't know that she was pregnant, and unexpectedly gave birth to a baby, only to discover something worse. The story is really emotional, it begins on January 16, 2015 , in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo. Cleide Barbosa began to feel contractions in the abdomen and went to the bathroom thinking that it was menstrual cramps, but in fact she was going into labor. I didn't have any symptom of pregnancy. My belly grew a bit but I thought I was getting fat" said Cleide. "I didn't expect that, I didn't feel any pain, I was surprised because the baby started to cry. She slipped out of my hand, and I wrapped her in a towel and called SAMU who provided first aid and referred me to the hospital" said the mother. The mother got informed that her baby was a boy at first. Because he had an extremely small penis. Ever since, Cleide registered the baby as "Enzo". The problem is shortly after new tests were done to check the internal organs and it was found that in fact the baby was a girl. The mother wants the baby to be called "Eloá" , but the child has been already registered with the name "Enzo". bruh what the fuck??
I never understand how someone can be pregnant and NOT know.
i notice we never see the baby's face properly.
if she thought she was having her period normally it's possible
Well yeah but it's still what the fuck human anatomy.
I never understand how someone can be pregnant and NOT know.
as it happens, very rarely, the menstrual cycle can continue during the course of a normal pregnancy. Or the bleeding could be occurring for some other reason, mainly abnormal ones, such as ectopic pregnancy or placental problems.
i notice we never see the baby's face properly.
It's likely that she didn't want people to see her for security reasons.
The proper term, technically, is 'intersex'. Hermaphrodite implies function as either sex.
One of the miracles of nature.
It's likely that she didn't want people to see her for security reasons.
I doubt anyone would recognize him/her as "that hermaphrodite baby" in 20 years even if there was a picture of him/her as a baby in the article. Babies look pretty much identical to each other at that age anyway, they all have the same pink wrinkly noodlecock faces (unless they have a genetic defect that makes them look like eldritch abominations)
It's likely that she didn't want people to see her for security reasons.
To be fair all babies look the same anyway.
I never understand how someone can be pregnant and NOT know.
It's probably not the same sort of issue as in this case but I had a neighbor back in the late 90s/early 2000s who had some issue where she would rarely ever get her period. Since she was fairly overweight as well she never realized she was pregnant until she went into labor one day.
The proper term, technically, is 'intersex'. Hermaphrodite implies function as either sex.
Although technically true, hermaphrodite can also simply mean both sets of genitalia, whether they work as intended or not. Hence why there is also the term true hermaphrodite, which has both testicular and ovarian tissue, yet still does not imply both are functional and in no case thus far has both worked. Considering the baby have both male and female genitalia according to the article, it would be acceptable in general terms to call them a hermaphrodite, yet there is no confirmation thus far if they are a true hermaphrodite.
I get the onset of her period comments but babies kick and move around inside later in pregnancy. Did this not happen with this baby? Or did she not notice the movement? And how does a baby "slip" out with a sneeze? I guess for her it was like throwing a hot dog down a hallway? (Family Guy reference)
To be fair all babies look the same anyway.
They're all ugly in their own special way.
as it happens, very rarely, the menstrual cycle can continue during the course of a normal pregnancy. Or the bleeding could be occurring for some other reason, mainly abnormal ones, such as ectopic pregnancy or placental problems.
To further this point, ectopic pregnancies don't get far enough along to present the woman as pregnant in the first place. They also don't typically bleed outwardly, which is what makes them so scary. An ectopic will present as stabbing abdominal pain and severe cramps, and at that point you basically have a few hours to get to the hospital for emergency surgery or the internal bleeding will kill you. I myself had never heard of this problem before becoming an EMT, they told us one of the things that makes it so deadly is that people don't typically think of it when that's exactly what's wrong. Also, the article doesn't mention, but it seems possible that she has dulled pain responses of one kind or another. That's probably why she didn't notice she'd given birth until the baby started crying. I saw some responses here expressing disbelief, it's not a normal occurrence but it's not as outlandish as it sounds.
I never understand how someone can be pregnant and NOT know.
It's something that can happen with kids who are pregnant, but her bump probably wasn't big enough for her to realise she was pregnant. Also, the fact that her period was normal, so I doubt she had pregnancy on her mind.
I never understand how someone can be pregnant and NOT know.
merica made a tv show on this.
I never understand how someone can be pregnant and NOT know.
There is a well documented syndrome where people are in denial they are pregnant. Something like 1/40 women don't believe they're pregnant in the 35th week and something like 1/2000 women don't believe they are pregnant when their water breaks. I'll go dig it up [editline]28th May 2015[/editline] Apparently one study found that 0.26% or about 1 in 400 deliveries have the mother deny she's pregnant.

The last 4-6 months you feel kicking and such inside. Uhh.. Gotta be some mental illness behind this. This is like a scene from a Adam Sandler comedy.
This is physically impossible for humans contrary to japanese hentai, right?
As of writing, no recorded instance in Mammals.
