Ubers getting a lot of bad rep. I was going to try them instead of a taxi but now ehhhhhhh
how about you give us the number of normal taxi drivers pulling guns on their passengers BBC
or are you continuing your anti-uber campaign

Where are they supposed to get those from? Are you not allowed to write articles about incidents without providing a data comparison between competitors while doing so?
I was expecting something like this:

They have done nothing but criticize Uber the past few weeks, so yes, proof that they're not biased would be nice.
It's an interesting conundrum... as the owner of that vehicle doesn't he have the right to make the passenger leave, and if he doesn't, to take action to force him to leave?

Of course you have the right to make him leave, within reason. Such as calling the police. Unless you feel threatened, you do not have the right to assault them and brandish a gun.

Police response time is insanely high. If someone is violating your privately-owned space and refusing to leave you absolutely should have the right to use reasonable force to get them out.

The driver did say exactly that, but it was because of a hilarious reason, it's in the last few lines. This report basically makes the driver in absolute blame.

This kind of crap that Uber inevitably has to deal with is unfortunate, the idea behind Uber is a nice concept, but there literally isn't anything one can do to stop people from being asshats.

While that is true, being reasonable is honestly the whole reason this situation even happened. Or more specifically, the lack of being reasonable.

I mean, if someone starts saying they're going to stick dicks in my ear, depending on how they said it, I could absolutely fear for my life.
Sounds like by the time the guy pulled the gun the passenger was already out of the car. So if he had time to reach into the driver's side to get the gun couldn't he of just jumped in the car and locked the doors?
