• My newly built computer won't power on

I made a computer yesterday, when I tried to power it up by the panel on the front, it didn't work. It doesn't do anything at all. I know the motherboard has power because the power, reset, and clr CMOS things on it are lit up. I've checked the jumper configuration on the mobo, it's okay. Specs: mobo: GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 ram: 2x2 gb Gskill ddr3 ` case: Antec 300 illusion cpu: AMD Phenom 2 x4 955 video card: HIS H585FN1GD Radeon HD 5850 EDIT: UPDATE: My mobo has power button on the inside, and when I click it the PSU goes "zzt"(very quietly), and nothing besides that happens. So, I'm guessing that the PSU is fucked.
PSU is dead.
well, ofcourse make sure that you plugged everything in correctly, if it does not work afterwards, your psu is probably dead. What PSU did you use.
Like what was stated above it sounds like your PSU is shot. Or it might not have enough power. Could you link us to it?
Did you use standoff's?
Did you use standoff's?
This. I see this all the time. They're one of the easiest things to forget especially for somebody new.
And if you did, did you put anything in to shield them from electricity? Spacers are a must, my old motherboard went to hell because I forgot to shield a screw.
