Meh, they all got replaced by CGI anyway.

My dad said the same thing about The Thing and how the CGI is done shitty because it's lazy and know it will look okay but when it was back then they worked very hard to make sure it was believable and used all these different tricks.

I mean look at Jar Jar Binks. Well then again Yoda was CGI.

I could easily see that being used in a newer Star Wars movie, At least for more close up shots
As JJ Abrams is doing the new SW movie, I have a good feeling he'll use sets, considering the new Star Trek film used actual physical sets often.
