• RPO-A Shmel project

So, after the success of my mortar design (Not only in performance, but in the fact that the National Guard commissioned me to build 2 for training purposes :v:) I have decided to go to work on my next project, one which I hope to make look more realistic than the mortar. I have decided to build the RPO-A "Shmel" (Bumblebee) Rocket propelled flamethrower. IRL, it is a large caliber Russian rocket launcher designed to fire incendiary, thermobaric, or FAE rockets. Mine will actually be a standard nerf football launcher like the mortar, but concealed inside the much much larger RPO-A body. Neato! Is the tank going to inside the launcher?
Neato! Is the tank going to inside the launcher?
I was thinking about it, but I would have to shorten the barrel, and thus, lower the performance. I may just walk around with the CO2 bottle in a backpack, or have a buddy carry it around and pretend to be a "loader" by reconnecting the tank after firing.
Congrats on the mortar success and good luck with this beast.
I officially want one.
No kidding @ the National Guard part?
Timebomb is pretty chill with the Nat. Guard apparently from previous posts of his.
No kidding @ the National Guard part?
Yeah, they really liked the one that I brought out to a training exercise. And Saint is right, I play the OpFor at NYARNG exercises fairly regularly, so we be chill, yo :frogc00l:
I play the OpFor at NYARNG exercises fairly regularly
NYARNG sounds like a sound you'd make if you stuck your hand in a pot of boiling water.
You should shoot nerf footballs out of that. :v:
:D
They used to make pocket sized howlers that were absolutely perfect for a 2 inch barrel, those are a little too big to be safe.
People still use them, I swear, people try to get these like people try to get navy seal limited issue plate carriers
People still use them, I swear, people try to get these like people try to get navy seal limited issue plate carriers
Im one of those people. :v: Edit: On another note, I bought the valve needed for the launcher, and am currently waiting for it to come in. Now to find 3in SCH 80 pipe locally...
