Hitman: Absolution was not an entirely excellent game. Missing something of what made its forebears so different and unique. If, while playing Absolution, that loss was intangible, just on the periphery of your gamer's perception, then you may want to return to the original games.
jesus christ who wrote this
It's like a ten year old got hold of a thesaurus and wants to show the world how many big words he can use with no real meaning or cohesion.
Remember when news sites provided news and not snark.
Absolution was a great game. In fact, I loved the fact that there was more story and slightly more linearity than the previous games. In Blood Money, I sometimes felt the openness was too much and it sidetracked from the story. Sure, I would have preferred a little more openness, but to say it was Absolution was by no means perfect, but it was still a great game. Last I checked, the original game sucked hard ass.
Remember when news sites provided news and not snark.
No, I do not.
Last I checked, the original game sucked hard ass.
Didn't suck it was just crazy difficult
i wish they put the old games on the new engine, but that would take so long to redo them all.

People are STILL butthurt over Absolution not being Blood Money 2.0? When will people realize that Absolution is more like Silent Assassin than anything else?
Remember when news sites provided news and not snark.
Haha, yeah right. next thing you're gonna tell me is that FP moderation used to be good.
Nevertheless, alot of people would buy it instantly.
imagine those snowy russian levels, in silent assasin!
The Meat King's Party. One of my favourite missions. 'Oh, Ma loveleh bird!'
People are STILL butthurt over Absolution not being Blood Money 2.0? When will people realize that Absolution is more like Silent Assassin than anything else?
Ahaha. It's as far from Silent Assassin as you can get. It's more Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Ahaha. It's as far from Silent Assassin as you can get. So we have a new team who has no idea how to manage the games, and is the same team responsible for Kane and Lynch 2. By no means am I saying it's bad. They just had no understanding of the series they were developing and it's extremely obvious by how crouch stealth the game is, rather than chameleon blending in and getting through.
There's plenty of blending in and disguises, sure it was different to the previous games but it still kept the essence of Hitman at heart for most of the time.
The Meat King's Party. One of my favourite missions. 'Oh, Ma loveleh bird!'
I hated that one with a passion.
Im kinda sad they won't add the original codename 47. Is not perfect but it was a great game for his time.
Im kinda sad they won't add the original codename 47. Is not perfect but it was a great game for his time.
They would have to go through the extra effort of porting it from the PC.
The three original games? But there were four games before absolution and if they were the three 'original' games then that'd be the first 3 and not blood money. And blood money was on the 360 anyway so it's already 'HD' as all most devs do is simply rerelease old games exactly the same with a tiny code change that allows widescreen resolutions. So it's technically 'Three of Four original games, two tweaked to run in widescreen, in one package'. Not as catchy a tagline though I guess.
They would have to go through the extra effort of porting it from the PC.
Well they should. Is a good game.
They would have to go through the extra effort of porting it from the PC.
That explains it. Slightly. Because hitman 2 and contracts were on the original xbox and the PS2, wouldn't it be just as much effort. What a fucking weird and lazy thing to do.
Remember when news sites provided news and not snark.
it's about video games not starving orphans and rape victims
I've seen one dev do an 'HD' version right and that's croteam with Serious Sam. also the trailer for it was 100000x better than this POS
absolution was a very good game its different from the others in the series but it is by no means "bad"
I played hitman absolution on the hardest difficult or the one below it and took the stealth/focus on my target kills only. I thought the game on certain maps felt like blood money (Had a hell of a lot of choices to make in order to kill one target). Then on other maps it felt more guided or "linear" elements to it. That was mostly at the end of the game though. The game environments were more engaging and fulfilling then any other hitman too, the world around you was alive. As for some of the new mechanics they added the whole "execution" thing it was fun and really helped you in certain moments. But I personally used it very rarely, it wasn't the game breaker that everyone made it out to be. The story is was made it the best though in my opinion. Not only was the store engaging and hooked you in. But this time you actually felt something - before you get targets, complete the game. Bam the end. WARNING SPOILER this is game left you saying "wow holy shit, what happened." Specially at the ending/credits when you find out everything you did was just a test to get back in the organization. Really was a twist to be honest, played on this whole redemption/mortality thing to only find yourself back to doing dirty work. I think people just like to nick pick at the slightest change, which it happens. But not everything can transition in to a new version of the game, mechanics would then counter-act themselves and becoming pointless otherwise. With that logic it should have been the same mechanics just with updated visuals and new maps..
MR-X there are such things as [sp]spoiler tags[/sp], you know ?
