Three questions about weed. - General

Is it really a "Gateway Drug?" If I were to go smoke at a friend's house, would the smell stick to my clothes, alerting my parent? What are the laws on it in Canada?

No (that theory is bullshit) Use a deodorant, but it's not that smelly imo, open the window afterwards It's illegal, ofcourse.

If you get caught, the cop will be like "don't smoke" break anything used to smoke it, take the weed, and maybe tell your parents depending on how old you look.

I'm Canadian so here's my take on it: 1.Anything can be a gateway drug, Pot is no Exception. Don't let this bullshit stop you from trying it. 2.Depends on how much you smoke, and where you smoke. If you're worried, smoke with a t-shirt on outside, and then throw a sweater on once you've sprayed on a bit of deodorant. You'll be fine if you've got atleast fifteen minutes after smoking it. Also, wash your hands. And don't be paranoid. 3. Its legal to have less than a gram of weed in canada. They can't do a THING about it. You can get a fine for having more than six grams, or if you've got it in several bags, which would mean you're drug trafficking. I'm sure you'll be fine. I've been smoking weed all through highschool and have been in contact with cops many times before. One time I had a half ounce in my pocket, and I could smell the weed emanating from my pocket. Just be alert with what you're doing. Don't be careless and stupid, but dont let it overwhelm your thoughts, though. Better to be wreckless than paranoid.

It is a gateway drug in that if you like weed, you'll probably want to try more psychedelics. You'll smell. Spray Axe or something on all layers of clothing and your hands and you should be good. You can get fined (usually $100 - $500) for possession and arrested for amounts over a few ounces

I've been caught with less than a gram before by some Policeman and his Policewoman mate. They were right bellends and gave me a warning. If I get caught again I get a fine. If I get caught again after that then I go to court. D'AAH! It's true though that if you get caught with, say, a quarter in a couple of baggies you will get rinsed worse that if you had it in just the one.

It was my "gateway drug", but it's not like I smoked and smoked and loved the weed high to there point where was jonesing for new ways to fuck myself up. The Old Man opened my mind about drugs and inspired me to educate myself more about intoxicating substances. Your hair will probably have a faint smell after you smoke regardless, but your parent would have to be sniffing your head to smell it. Also, wash your hands, as your fingers will most undoubtedly end up reeking. 1. Yeah, kinda. If you like the feeling you get from one drug, you're going to want to see what it feels like to do others. This works with everything. 2. Wait a couple hours, and probably not, unless you like hotbox for a while, then it might take longer. Also, I feel like wet clothes absorb the smell more, but that could just be me. Also don't spill bong water on yourself, that'll never come out. 3. Fuck do I know? and if you're at a friend's house it probably won't matter anyways.

Try to stay away from the smoke. Don't let people exhale on you and don't do it on yourself either. I think I've mastered the art of it. It's a simple concept. If the smoke never touches you, then you cannot smell. But also, your breath will smell pretty bad because it will dry out your mouth. Just get something to drink or some gum and you will be fine.

The whole gateway drug part of weed is that it numbs you to doing illegal things, because if you smoke enough weed you start to not care about the illegal part. This wouldn't be much of a problem if weed was legal.

It's not really a gateway drug, but I agree with the above post on the question of legality. About the smell, usually your breath smells like weed more than anything. As long as you don't hotbox or blow the smoke all over yourself, you won't smell. But if you're super sketched you could always just use spray deodorant. I live in Canada, and it IS illegal but there are tons of cops who are lenient about it as they realize that the hardcore laws against weed are stupid. As long as you don't get caught with a shitload on you you'll be fine. And if you're inside a friend's house don't worry about the cops. Even if you get caught you probably won't get arrested, just a court date or fines.

I've noticed that joints/blunts tend to leave a stronger smell than glass pipes/bongs.

Gateway Drug-Depends on how much you do it, really. Smell-Smoke Naked, or just change, sleep at your buddies, and shower there. Laws in Canada-Illegal. Live here.. and smoke it up everyday. The cops are at my school a lot. I almost got busted, but my buddy said I was overtired... I had used a bong, so I didn't smell as bad.

I live in Canada. You won't get in trouble for being high, but if you have some on you, you could be in some minor trouble

1. It's not really a gateway drug in the usual sense, but it may warm you up to trying new things. however, it's all up to you. 2. I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you smoke in a small confined space, you won't smell of it. However, it wouldn't hurt to have a pair of pants/shirt to change into. 3. Illegal, but you shouldn't worry about it so long as you/your friends have any common sense.
