Tom Hanks revealed this morning that Toy Story 4 will be going ahead. After last year’s triumphant Toy Story 3, Pixar claimed they had no further plans to embark on a fourth film and that they felt the story for Woody, Buzz and the gang was pretty much done. However, it now seems Pixar have not ruled out the idea and are actually going ahead with it. Hanks appeared on BBC Breakfast News this morning to promote his latest feature Larry Crowne. Towards the end of the interview, he was asked if there were any specific plans for a fourth instalment. Hanks let slip "I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah. They’re working on it now. There you go." Hanks was reluctant to confirm any more details, but this is good news for fans of the Pixar films. No production or release dates for the fourth film have yet been announced.
http://www.lovefilm.com/news/Tom-Hanks-Says-Toy-Story-4-is-a-Go.html Not sure how I feel about this. I loved the films, but I thought Toy Story 3 was the perfect end to the series. That said, this is Pixar. They know what they're doing.
I'll watch it. I've loved every Toy Story so far
They should have just ended it at Toy Story 3 and work on something different like The Incredibles 2. If they want to continue Toy Story, they should make those shorts like Hawaiian Vacation.
You can't do much now that Andy is gone.
Well he's the voice actor of Woody so he'd know. I'm pretty balls to the walls excited now, maybe my childhood will continue. Legacy.
You can't do much now that Andy is gone.
Probably going to be in the little girl's perspective.
This is bad. the Third one ended the story perfectly, and now it's going to be milked to death, and this is the beginning.
I'll watch it. I've loved every Toy Story so far
even the abomination toy story 2?
What the hell was wrong with Toy story 2!?
he was sounding sarcastic.
Toy Story 3 really wasn't that good. I mean, you'd be hard pressed to find anything wrong with it, but it felt pretty run of the mill and forgettable compared to Pixars incredible offerings from 2007, 8 and 9.
No. Pixar ended it perfectly; there's no reason to continue it.
I loved the ending to toy story 3. I can't see how they could have it go on after that, it just wouldn't feel right.
Why continue? TS3 wrapped it up fine.
I hope not. As much as I love Toy Story, 3 was a fantastic ending to all of it.
I'm really conflicted by this, I mean as previously stated TS3 pretty much ended it. Don't get me wrong, I like Toy Story as much as anyone else but do they really need another?
I thought they already confirmed the third one was the final and that only through Pixar Shorts are we going to see the Toy Story gang again? I really can't imagine much of a Toy Story 4, unless they go ahead with the original Toy Story 3 idea of Buzz being shipped to Taiwan or something like that. Still I would actually like another new thing again instead of a sequel since we're already getting a Cars 2 and a Monsters Inc. Prequel
Pixar used to be the pinnacle of animated movies, but after Cars 2 and this, I can see them going down hill :(
It's like my childhood is still following me around.
If you thought Toy Story 3 was a perfect ending to the series, then don't watch Toy Story 4. Personally im glad there making another one and im pretty sure Pixar are going to make it as great as all the others, so quit bitching.
Another Toy Story doesn't seem very necessary, I thought the end of 3 wrapped it up pretty well. But I'm sure Pixar will yet again pull off another awesome movie
That is hardly confirmed.
I want a new IP by Pixar. I loved Wall-E and Ratatouille.
To be honest, I'd rather have The Incredibles 2.
I'm worried about this.
I want a new IP by Pixar. I loved Wall-E and Ratatouille.
Brave.
Incredibles 2 is practically calling out to be made. There's so many possibilities for plots.
I feel ashamed that I disliked Incredibles when I was a kid; looking back, it's a fantastic film.
FFS Pixar cut out the sequels already.
I will go to see this. Toy Story was a part of my childhood.
