"a lewd act on a child, among other charges" Why is it the media only calls it rape if the perpetrator was male? Otherwise it's "lewd conduct" or other bullshit.

Otherwise it's "lewd conduct" or other bullshit.[/QUOTE] Because they're using the legal definition(more likely than not) of rape...rape = unwanted penetration orally, anally, or vaginally (in the slightest), "lewd act" = unwanted sexual contact without penetration. Both are types of sexual assault.

Why am I not surprised by this kind of behavior around here. It seems like there is always some sex related charges dealing with teachers happening around the Greenville area. I mean maybe just a couple years ago the band director at Greenwood High School got fired for banging the art teacher in the Gym. Even a few years before that, the head cheerleader coach at Ware Shoals got drunk with her team and I guess fucked one of the students.
