While the observers didn't assign blame, the report from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe gives credence to Kiev’s claims that the separatists started the Wednesday fighting, some of the worst since a cease-fire was signed in the Belarusian capital of Minsk in February. While Moscow and rebels blame Ukrainian troops for the battle, the OSCE report is likely to support a tough line on Russia at this weekend’s summit of Group of Seven nations in Germany, which is expected to issue a stern warning to Moscow to help foster the peace accord. Movement of heavy weaponry is mostly restricted by the cease-fire deal. The OSCE said it saw at least 12 tanks and several other military vehicles moving in rebel-held territory west toward Maryinka, the government-held town where Ukraine said it came under attack on Wednesday. The OSCE monitors said they didn’t note any counter-movement on the Ukrainian side until much later on Wednesday, though it did note heavy weaponry had often been moved from positions required on both sides in recent weeks.
welp, there's fuckton of russian and dnr news sites citing that this was "counter measure" to advancement of Ukranian forces on june 3rd's night earlier on, but even they aknowledge how incredibly fucked up the result was - nothing significant in strategical terms could've been gained from this massacre in a first place, soo who ever started this/got provoked contribute to nothing but more bloodshed. This gives green light to trigger happy fighters on both sides to fuck up Minsk 2 agreements even more and beyond, and nobody is happy with that, expecially with G7 coming along. Again, before heads roll, this is just a summary of what is happening in russian media's responce, from a russian person rather than a foreign site. Jesus christ do i need to make last sentance bold?

They've purposely fired on civilians in their territory to claim as shelling from the Ukrainian side, alongside using howitzers/cannons/grenade machine guns/etc from residential areas, inevitably drawing return fire from the Ukrainians and causing the Ukrainians to accidentally target civilians.
Honestly, the Minsk Agreement has already been violated extensively by multiple militia groups. If the fuckers wanna kill each other, let them. As it stands at the moment, both sides are just using the ceasefire to get troops trained and resupplied. It is only a matter of time before someone calls in for a barrage of artillery to commence an assault on someone else's line. I'd like to believe with the summer months at hand, we'll be seeing an explosion in conflict around the end of this month and the start of July. This war is only going to end when the OSCE is forced to evacuate and one side or the other is able to lay siege to a major strategic city and take it over. For Ukraine it'll be Luhansk and for the rebels it'll be Mariupol. Both cities hold major morale and strategic value. The airport in Donetsk may be symbolic of the current war, but it's utterly useless for just about everything.

It's been a year and your posts and threads didnt change one bit. Shame but Minsk agreements are indeed worth nothing anymore as others said.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-2861071/Ukraine-rebel-says-residential-areas-used-cover.html Or how about a video or two. ^^RT report about the DNR group that operates under the "Oplot" - "Оплот" callsign^^ So yeah, little less than 5 minutes with google video and using the search phrase "Ukraine rebels firing GRADs from behind buildings".
