[B]What masters of the musical realm are skilled enough to unleash these truly awe-inspiring works of musical bliss into this feeble world?[/B] Well, the most popular bands are as followed: -Hammerfall -Rhapsody of Fire -Sabaton -Blind Guardian -Helloween -Stratovarius -Iced Earth -Gamma Ray -Edguy But there are much more! In fact, i'm going to post some less known power metal now. Search those bands above on youtube, they're quite good. Note: there's quite a few different styles of the genre, so don't judge the rest of the following just because you don't like the first song or something. Avantasia - The Tower (This might be a spoiler actually, it's part of a two album long metal opera.) It shows a great fusion between American and European power metal.) This is both the most gay and most majestic and epic feeling metal genre i approve

I love Power Metal, everything about it is awesome. Hell, even Dragonforce have at least one good song. Iced Earth, Rhapsody and 3 Inches are awesome.

Believe it or not, there are very few bands and songs that actually are about dragons. I can count them with one hand. I haven't heard much Power Metal, but it's really fun and silly to listen to at times. Deadly Sinners is a funny ass song. You can't take power metal too seriously.

What Z3r0747 said, I don't really listen to them anymore though. But they're a fun band and they were amazing live when I saw them back in 06. Sure they don't get all the notes right but they know how to put up a show and get the crowd going.
