Oh god. Now that's a name I haven't heard in quite a while. Watched the show all the time as a kid though.
Oh man, my father and I used to love this series back in the days. What sad news to hear today :(
Great show and a great actor he will be sorely missed.
I remember watching it as a kid. The show would always air in the middle of the night, together with all the old classics such as Cheers, MASH, Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers etc. I'd always secretly stay up to watch the show.
What's up with the English and their WW2 sitcoms?
Loved the show as a kid. RIP :(
Man I watched a shit ton of Allo Allo as a kid. My mother hated it because it reran so much here. What a horrible shame.
Brilliant show and great actor - some of the jokes are so deeply ingrained in the people my age that watched it that they've entered the common parlance. "I shall say this only once."

Its kinda our thing to take the piss out of stuff that gets us down, we even had a somewhat successful Afghanistan conflict sitcom by the name of "Bluestone 42".
I'm surprised he is only 75, I always thought the show was older than that. They don't make them like that anymore.
Fuck I loved this show. Good moaning
