So I got an OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB SSD today. I fitted it into my case no problems, installed windows, no problem there but as soon as I installed my ATI drivers (I tried both 10.7 and 10.8) and rebooted my machine it loads to the desktop then stops, no icons, explorer, nothing. Just the desktop, I have absolutely no idea why this is happening.
Please help.
Check that explorer.exe lauched in ctrl alt delete
File > Run > explorer.exe
If this fails
Try fix the issue in safemode
When I ctrl alt delete it just goes to a black screen and safemode works fine but I have no idea what to do.
ATI drivers aren't gonna do this.

That's what I thought but Windows is fine until I install them.
Where'd you get these drivers?

I'm gonna try flashing my SSD now.
Lol graphics drivers have no effect on drives, other than storing it.
It is not inconceivable that it could have had some effect on the startups.
Heh, it was because I had both my monitors plugged in and it was creating some sort of crazy resolution. All good now, thanks
Yeah uh, second display doesn't have anything on it by default.

Oh yeah, it could be that it was defaulting to my second one, I feel dumb now.
